"You said earlier that you used your free will but that it ended poorly. How did you use your free will?" He asks.
"I tried. I didn't do anything major, I just wanted to see if I could go against the way I was created. I learned my lesson the hard way." I tell him. His face turns to a look of confusion.
"Why would you try to go against something like that?" He asks.
"Because I didn't want to be hated. I just wanted something that could make it so that I was liked by my brothers. I was alone and living among humans who also hated me and I never travelled outside the walls of my city because there were demons and my fallen brothers who still hated me." I explain. He slowly nods in understanding.
"Well, what did you do?" He asks. I let out another short laugh and shake my head.
"Nothing. I didn't get the chance. I actually developed feelings for her but I never even got the chance to tell her." I tell him. He nods again, there's no way that he can possibly understand.
"Who was she?" He asks. A wavery smile forms on my face.
"Her name was Danielle. She's the one that I saved. She was so happy to finally earn her wings. It was even more dangerous for her in Hell since she had her wings and I tried so hard to protect her from the monsters that were outside the walls." I explain.
"What happened?" He asks. I feel my chest tighten and my face falls into an emotionless mask.
"She was taken. Right in front of me and I couldn't do anything to stop it." I tell him.
"Well that's not so bad, you just went and took her back, right?" He asks. This causes me to let out a sad laugh.
"And abandon the other humans? I had to choose and I couldn't let the other humans fall to insanity. I kept an eye on her though and honestly I wish that I had just let her go when she was taken but I guess that's what happens when you develop feelings for a person." I tell him. He nods and writes down his notes.
"What happened to her?" He questions. I take a deep breath and close my eyes for a second to keep my emotions at bay.
"The King of Hell happened to her. Not Lucifer, Satan, he sent some of his lower ranked demons to fetch her from me. He, ummm...took her and a relationship like that is taboo but somehow they made it work and she had triplets. One was a full blood angel, one was a full blood demon and the third was a hybrid. The hybrid died at birth but Danielle couldn't let her stay dead so she was brought back missing three of her senses. On their fifth, I mean tenth birthday he decided that he didn't want the hybrid or his wife anymore. He murdered Danielle and framed the little princess for it." I tell him. His eyes are watering now and I just smile.
"Wow. I guess that's one way to learn a lesson. I can't even imagine. What happened to the girl?" He asks. I let a full smile spread across my face.
"We broke her out. I had become friends with a demon over the ten years that Kathryn grew up. As soon as I heard that she had murdered her mother I sent for her to be rescued. My demon friend hated all other demons and she gladly volunteered her animal friends to go and save the young princess from the dungeons in the Inferno." I tell him. His face is shocked.
"You teamed up with a demon? Isn't there something against that in the big law book for angels and demons?" He asks. I shrug my shoulders.
"Probably, but it worked. I got my hands on the hybrid and honestly I don't know what really compelled me to save her in the first place. I was in a dark place and praying for forgiveness for failing my mission. I didn't hear anything for a long time but suddenly I got the feeling that I needed to do something and that's when I got the news of her mother's death." I explain. He nods.
"That's awesome. What happened to them after all of that?" He asks. I tilt my head in confusion this time. "Well, you keep talking about them in the past tense, did something happen to them?" He asks again. I raise my head and nod in understanding.
"Ah. No, they are both perfectly fine. I made sure to protect both of them no matter what and boy did I put that to the test." I tell him. He nods again.
"How did you put that to the test?" He questions. I laugh at him.
"You are quite curious aren't you? I'll tell you eventually. Lets just say that something huge happened that changed the course of all three worlds permanently." I tell him. He just nods.
"Well, I guess we can move on." He says.
