Home it was the first and last place Flamour wanted to be. She was still having a hard time to believe that just moments ago she was walking into the airplane terminal without a single care in the world, now she was a wanted criminal for causing an uproar all because people didn't want to give her space. She often wondered how celebrities felt when the media was constantly in their face, and now she knew...and truth was she didn't like it.
The long and narrow hallway from which encased the two beings felt very familiar, it would appear that she has been here before, but not sure how. The dark and dreary landscape was very bland and only the dim light from her radiating aura was radiating from her skin. She could feel part of her white aura drift into the blanket of darkness as part of her subconscious believed she had made a mistake, still her emotions felt very withdrawn which she rarely cared about anything—even her own safety. Flamour stopped for a moment to get a better picture of where she actually was, but Error seemed to draw impatient from her dawdling and pushed her forward with his muzzle, giving a jolt of surprise as the completed the journey into the eternal darkness.
"So this is your home?" she asked breathlessly. An eerily jaunting voice echoed through the land as she felt a cold shiver send down her spine.
Home Sweet Home! The voice cackled with malice. The distorted laughed sent goosebumps running down Flamour's arm as she rubbed a single arm on her bicep, shifting her weight uncomfortably.
"So, who are you exactly?" Flamour questioned glancing around starting to feel a little unwary of her decision.
I am Error, master of darkness, and a fiend of disillusions. I have been waiting a very long time for someone to keep me company in this dreaded place. It gets lonely when you spend an entire eternity wallowing with nothing to do except shuffle around this dark, dark forest. But you.....I knew something was different ever since you entered the dreamscape.
Flamour shot a glance the abyssal dragon with such distain that if looks could kill he certainly would be dead.
"Wait....you....infiltrated my dreams....but how? It doesn't make any sense! Why wasn't I allowed to wake up if it was just a nightmare?"
The dragon lowly cackled as he moved in closer, draping a wing around the small, petite teenager.
It makes perfect sense if you think about it. The only reason why I was able to infiltrate your dreams is because while you were flying in the gullet of that mechanical bird, you passed through an Aurora Borealis which this realm is called "The Rift." The rift is an interdimensional seam the separates human world from the our world, and once that seam opens every two thousand years, our kind which have been watching over your species since the beginning of time goes down to earth to help these humans so that we may redeem ourselves.
"Well you are doing a hell of a job doing that, now aren't you?" Flamour sneared, "Kidnapping? Manipulation, messing with my emotions to think that Shilah...." She stopped and looked at him with a sense of fear shooting down her spine. "Please tell me that you had nothing to do with Shilah's condition, please tell me that was real....I swear if you..." Flamour couldn't contain herself as she sat down and leaned against the dragon's warm fur.
I may be a cunning and deceptive dragon, but I am not a monster. When someone enters the realm of true and unconditional compassion for another, even I have no place to mess with their emotions. Messing with someone else's kinesthetic energy when they are meant to be can lead to my own banishment. The Rift is the only way I can get out and explore new scenery, altering with someone's emotion for my own personal gain would ultimately deem me unfit for a place among humans and thus I would forever stuck down here.
