There was a plethora of unanswered questions that rattled around Flamour's brain. The word plethora means an excessive amount of something, and indeed Flamour had every right to demand answers, unfortunately many of the questions would never be solved, but left to wonder for many years to come.
The young girl which was being sheltered from her own storm of emotions huddled her knees together as she moved in closer the dragon who was overlooking her well-being. She sighed as the rain continued to fall, washing away luminous color schemes into a dark grey and monochrome hue of greys and blacks. She felt as if she was sucked in an old time movie unable to feel the warmth of colors radiant glow that was just beyond her reach above the Rift. Still, she was fortunate to be next to someone who cared about her well-being much more than he cared for himself.

"Aren't you getting wet?" Flamour asked as she pushed herself into the warmth of the fur.

"No, this storm is merely a figment of your own emotions, it does not affect me in the least bit, once you have what you are looking for, or rather peace of mind, the storm will pass, and everything will go back to normal.," he spoke softly as words that he spoke took a physical manifestation and drifted out of his mouth, before vanishing into thin air.

"This place becomes more peculiar with every visit," Flamour mumbled to herself as she sighed contently, "Out of curiosity, what are you?"

"I am not allowed to speak of that, revealing my species to humans are forbidden, but for your sake you can call our species among. We are neither living nor dead, we are beings that have had a troubling past from which we are condemned to remember, however, while we transition between the Rift, it is our duty to be of service to humans whenever they are in need. Only when we are ready to reveal ourselves do we allow close human contact, but to others who have not earned our trust, we are distant between them. Your uncles for example, will never be able to see us, nor will they be able to interact with us in the mortal realm, what happens after, well that is for another being to decide."

Flamour sat up with inquisitive aspiration for knowledge, as she looked around the grey and dismal estate.

"So you mean to tell me, when a human life ends, the energy which they have been using is transferred to another plane from which is then consumed by your kind?"

"I'd rather not say," Edgy mumbled.

"Yes or No?" Flamour asked.

"I cannot say. I am forbidden to," Edgy said shifting his weight. Flamour became flustered as she stood up and walked outside in the pouring rain. The grey pelts seemed to go around her as if she was covered in some sort of protective barrier, green eyes flashed with great sense of determination as her mind continued to race with wonderment. Very slowly she got to her feet with a sense of defiance as she faced the being with a dominating aura around her.

"I will ask you again: yes or no?" Edgy got to his feet, his figure overpowering her with a high sense of confidence, as he snorted a semi-irritated grunt of disapproval.

"You are really treading into waters that you should not be, young one. I am trying to tell you that it is against our customs to tell you things that you should not know. There are Higher Ups that consistently watching our species every move and if I were to disclose any personal information about what we are, or where we came from it would have drastic repercussions, one of which could be either your own demise or the bond with Error being shattered never allowing you to speak or see him again, is that what you want?"

Flamour looked at him, and then looked at the ground, speaking softly. "No,"

"I am sorry?" Edgy asked in an almost jeering tone. Flamour sighed loudly knowing she was beaten at her own game of wits.

"NO!" she said loudly, almost in tears. Edgy sighed softly, wrapping an wing around her in reassurance, as he pressed his muzzle to her face, licking the salty tears that rolled down her cheeks.

"No need to be upset, it's a difficult time for all of us, the Abyssal Moon is nearly here, and that can spell danger for us all, but as long as you are with me, I won't let even the darkest pits of the Abyss harm you, and that's my pledge to you.

"Abyssal Moon?" Flamour asked, with a slight tone of concern in her voice.

"A time when planets align to block out the sun—a time where Abyssal beings like Error stalk prey so vile and evil they rip their energy right from their bodies,"

"What kind of beings are we talking about?" Flamour asked suspiciously.

"Thieves, Murderers, corrupt politicians, and the occasional Assassin,"
