The night slithered is long and slender body around the body of every living being. The darkness was a formable opponent, but was an essential ally for those who serviced the greater good. Many professionals in the human world often sought refuge under the cover of darkness as sense of complete serenity, however there was one breed of human professions that was thrived in the ample opportunity to work both in darkness and in light—that profession was trained Assassins. Shilah was very confident that he knew what he had to do even in the eyes of the Great Spirits he was putting his family heritage to shame. He spent countless hours researching his genealogy through the help of the Oasis, but there was something more daunting than just staring at a screen, and reliving his past, he needed something that could help him train his skills to an expedited level of mastery.

Shilah watched and listened from the highest rafters as he looked down below the open arena, concealing himself in the shadows cloak, as he watched with disgust the true nature of these deplorable human beings that ever to walk the earth. Something inside Shilah rumbled as part of his Assassin's heritage grew inside of him, like a festering welt.

"What do you mean the girl is gone?" a man shouted as he paced back and forth, running his fingers through his hair aggravated that their scheme had been disrupted, " Yes, I understand that this is disaster, Chad but you are the one who...yes, I understand. Find the girl and kill the Native, we can't have any witnesses, once the bodies are disposed of, feed them to the pigs leave no trace of evidence." The man sighed with disgust as he slammed his cellphone shut with a heft sigh of disapproval. The man grunted as he made a jeering mockery of his partner, "I can't do it because I am too busy cooking something in the lab." He sighed and shook his head as he walked down the hall, flipping on pale lights, which lit up a dim hallways.

"Honestly, he is more interested in making that damn genetic potion than he is helping me. All he does is coop himself in that stupid room and play around with his chemicals, yet, we have to find one that matches up to the strength and stamina to this.....thing," he growled as he hacked a wad of saliva at dragon-like creature which lay sleeping curled in the corner, dried blood and bite marks rippling down its back as Shilah carefully followed the man down the hallway, stalking on soft feet as he made his way to the dragon-like creature's cage making very little sound.

"This barn is a mess," the man scoffed as he looked around. Shilah looked around as watched the man fidget with a combination lock on one of the doors that appeared to be some sort of office. Just outside the window, Shilah noticed something—something dark and mysterious with bright blue eyes. The creature was very quiet as he continued to stalk the man. The creature bobbed its head curiously as it arched its neck back and forth in a very humorous but odd gesture. Soft hissing rumbled from the creatures' gullet as a very creepy tone echoed through the dimly lit hallway. One by one as the creature stalked in the shadows, the lights which illuminated the area began to flicker, as the creature opened its maw, sucking the energy from the lightbulb causing it to burn out completely. Shilah was unsure what to do at this time, but he had to make a decision as he jumped from support beam to support beam, the tail of his cloak flapping quietly behind him, watching his footing as he heard the hissing and gargling grow louder.

"Ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssyd, why don't you come outside for a spell?" the voice asked in a very hypnotic and alluring tone. The man who was fumbling with the padlock stopped what he was doing and looked towards the creature with the crystal blue eyes, as he watched the creature back up slowly into the darkness, luring one of the criminals out of the barn and into the open pasture. Shilah followed close behind, exiting out of the tall window as he scaled down the rusty pipes that stuck out of the old Silo. He kept watch as he continue to watch the dark figure persuade him towards the house.

"Why don't you go see what you good friend Chad is up tooooo?" the voice asked with the same alluring suggestive tone. Shilah glanced up to the sky as he watched for a brief moment the Moon become completely covered by the planets as the land from which he was standing grew completely dark. Lights that light the large mansion flickered on an off as the dark figure with the hypnotizing eyes continued to pressure the man towards the house. Shilah sighed as he watched from a distance. He would never make it in time in order to carry out his task. Shilah felt a nudge on his backside as he turned around only to come face to the white dragon like creature that he had encountered a few times. The beast bent its head down and squeeze its slender muzzle in between Shilah's legs, spreading them apart briefly. The beast then lifted its head which caused the boy's knees to buckle underneath him, the beast continued to squirm until the boy slid down the back of his neck, mounting firmly in between the dragon's wingspan. Shilah looked down at the white dragon like figure and that's when he knew that this creature would be a valuable asset to his unharnessed ancient power. Smiling softly, he reached down and stroked the white dragon's large furry neck as he took the feather he was keeping out of his pocket, and placed it in the earlobe of his new profound ally. Justice was finally about to be served with a steaming hot plate of vengeance.

Flamour paced back and forth inside her abyssal dungeon as she counted the steps she took before pivoting on her heel and repeating the process in the same way.

"Something on your mind?" Edgy asked softly, lowering his ears feeling a little guilty that this girl was stuck down here, instead of being with the only person who really had an emotional attachment to her. Flamour stopped pacing and looked at the dragon who had a pitiful expression on his face.

"Something is always on my mind, Edgy. I am stuck down here against my will with nothing to do but sit and wait and for what until Error returns from hunting my uncles, ripping their life force from underneath them, and casting their souls into the farthest pits of hell?" Edgy flattened his ears against his head in defeat as he realized the girl had figured the fate of her relatives without actually telling her.

"Flamour, I know this is...." He stopped as her looked up at the vacant sky above them, the golden rift which shone brightly as golden ribbon in the sky pulsated as the dark terrain began to shake and tremble with an excessive force.

"Oh no," Edgy whispered as he leapt to his feet, clenching the girl's shirt in his paws, he scooped up the innocent human as the Abyss seemed to let out a terrible groan as it the dark and grey world around them began to inadvertently swallow itself whole. Edgy, leapt to the air, and flapped his wings with massive force, as the insides of the darkness began to fade away into oblivion.

"What's happening?" Flamour asked over the heavy sounds of powerful wings that thrust itself higher and higher into the air.

"Digestion!" Edgy called down to her, "the abyss is preparing to make room for new life force which has not done in over a millennia. The abyss is very much a real thing, and when the Abyssal Moon comes around every two thousand years, the Abyss swallows itself whole, and reshapes itself to create an entirely new environment!"

"So what happens now?" Flamour asked suspiciously.

"We keep flying until we are spit up!" Edgy said.

"What!?" Flamour screamed with disgust. The darkness continued to pulsate as and groan with a very large growl as Edgy continued to flap his wings. The bright golden ribbon of the Rift was almost within reach. The dark Abyss groaned as the area continue to violently pulsate.

"Hold on, here it comes!" Edgy called tucking the girl under his chest, for protection as the he felt a violent shake, violently thrusted and expelled from the bowels of the abyss. With one final jerking motion Edgy and Flamour were thrust back into the human realm, as they landed on the soft grass with a hard thud...gleaming blue eyes stared at the two figures with disgust for Edgy and Flamour had escaped the abyssal bowels of Error the dark equine-like dragon.
