Chapter 8: acting and highspeed chases they go hand in hand

Important! Thnx you guys I'm at 78 reads! Omg y'all are awesome! Ok no one did the contest and im an impatient person so I couldn't wait any longer. So babe I'll dedicate it to u even tho u shulda done the contest. Ok so the dedication goes to Dashy25 and my friend cam. Y'all better help with that fighting scene or I'm coming for ya! Lol aren't I just a ray of sunshine and harmless rainbows and unicorns.
Anyway on with the story. The contest will continue for the next chapter as well.

Chapter 8:

Moona's P.O.V

"Vampire" he said

Wait what?! Did he just say!?

"What am I" I asked shakily not really sure if I was ready to know or why I wasn't completely freaked out by the fact he was a vampire.

"I don't know" he said truthfully looking down at his shoes.

"Why do you even care? Why am I 'yours' as you keep putting it?" I asked

"Your my mate" he said looking down again at the floor.

"What's a mate?"

"It's like a soul mate. Like your other half. The person made just for you. It's the same kind of thing as what humans call soul mates but you can feel it more, the bond is stronger. It's more real. And you know for sure they're your soulmate. They're your life. Your world. Your breath. The reason your world keeps spinning and without them you die. Mentally your dead you no longer have the will to live and you want to die. " He said

"So I'm your mate?"

"Yes" he said

"Ok I just...I need time to think and process this."

I ran out of there as fast as I could. I just needed to think. "If your gonna run away to think or whatever at least take a car!" He yelled after me.

Well if I took a car an I got lost I was probably still safer than I would be if I got lost while walking. Plus I could go to the mall. That was always a good place to go to think. Well at least for me because quiet isn't always good for my thinking.

I nodded and he pointed to the garage that was open saying "the keys are hanging on the wall pick any one you like"

I ended up picking a lime green camaro super sports with a black racing stripe down the hood.

I decided to go to the mall making sure to remember the way I came so I'll know my way back.

I was at the food court in the mall drinking a lemonade from Chik Fil A when I felt someone burning holes in the back of my head.

I turned around and saw some guys staring at me. They were really pale like that blonde moron that kidnapped me. Why are they staring at me like I'm some sort of diamond they want to steal?

Then it hit me...they were kirks guys and I needed to run. I looked around them like I was looking for someone then shrugged and turned back around so they wouldn't figure out that I made them that their cover was blown.

Then as nonchalantly as I could I got up and started slowly walking towards the parking lot.

I turned and tried to look behind me to see if they were there but I pretended to be window shopping.

They were there. I tried not to panic and realized I didn't have my phone and even if I did I wouldn't be able to call Ryder anyway, seeing as I don't have his number. Gahhh! How could I be so stupid! Ryder's gonna kill me...well that is if they don't kill me first.

I get to the parking lot and start to panic because I can hear them behind me now and they are closer.

I pull the keys out and I'm getting closer to the car.

Wait! Don't they have like super speed!? Why aren't they using it, not that I'm not happy they aren't but still...

Well I bet if I sped up and started running they would, so I need to pretend like I'm struggling with the car door when I get there so they don't speed up and then kinda clumsily get in if they are too close.

So I did that and while I was fumbling with the car door I glanced up to see they were a couple cars away. I pretended to clumsily get in the car and they started to speed up so I got in faster and put the keys I'm the ignition as I was getting in.

I slammed the door hit the lock button as I started the car and pulled out.

I hastily tried to put on my seatbelt and succeeded after fiddling with it for a couple seconds.

As I drove away I saw they were getting into an orange sports car. Luckily there weren't very many traffic lights on the way back from the mall because it was mostly back roads to get there.

I sped down the road with them right on my tail. I was going about 80 and they were speeding up. I hit the gas more. Going 90, 100 ,105. Omg I know this is a bad time to think about this, but seeing as I might end up dying at least I can cross being in a highspeed chase off my bucket list! Wow ya great time to get distracted Moona.

I saw the house in the distance and I hit the gas speeding up even more going about 115, 120 mph. They were surprised I guess 'cause they didn't speed up right away which gave me a couple second advantage.

I pulled into the drive way stopping so abruptly, which kind of hurt. And I jerked. I jumped out of the car as fast as possible and just as I got to the door and was about to knock I heard them pull in behind me.

I knew I was dead until all of a sudden the door jerked open and I was yanked inside into some muscular arms.

I could tell from the tingles it was Ryder. I jumped into his arms and glanced at the door behind me.

"Moona! Moona what's wrong!" He asked panicked.

"They...they...mall...chase...me...run....aand you ..and they..." I panted and tried to form a coherent sentence but failed miserably.

"Moona take a deep breath, breathe." I sucked in big gulps of air, calming down my breathing enough to answer. I was still shaking by the time my breathing steadied enough to speak and he wrapped his arms around me protectively.

 "Okay, what's going on?"  

"I was at the mall trying to think when I felt someone looking at me, I turned around and it was Kirk's guys." At that he stiffened and his hold on me tightened. I continued anyway "I tried to act nonchalantly and walked to the car pretending I didn't recognize them or know they were following me. I guess they were gonna grab me in the parking lot when I managed to get in the car and drive here. They were following me and you pulled me inside just before they could get out and grab me!" I said finally able to make a coherent sentence.

"Baby it's alright, it's okay your safe now." He said trying to comfort me.

That's when I broke down into tears and started sobbing my eyes out.

"Baby where are they now?" He asked.

Just as I was about to answer this girl comes in who looks kinda like Ryder, I guessed that was his sister.

"Ryder?! You better get over here!" She yelled

"What? What's wrong Leah?" Oh so her names Leah.

"They surrounded the house!"

"Who?"

"Kirk's guys!"

A/N ok so here's the next chapter! Umm I have the very very beginning of the next chapter. But not all. I'll post when I have it done. I don't have a schedule because I just post when I finish a chapter so...ya.
