Eren POV:

I trailed behind (Y.N) in the forest as she rubbed her hands on the trees, occasionally stopping and taking the view in. We did this everyday.

Me and (Y.N) have been dating for two years and over time I realized, she was the one I loved. Everyday since we met, same routine; go to the same forest and just, well, be there. (Y.N) refused to tell me why specifically this forest but over time she opened up more and more and she said she would eventually tell me, she just didn't know when.

Flashback:

Eren POV:

I pulled (Y.N) in my arms and she smiled lightly and grabbed my wrists. I nuzzled my nose in her (H.C) hair and silently sighed.

We sat on a fallen trunk in the forest that we've been going to for the same amount of time we've dating; two months.

"(Y.N), why do we come to this one?" "And why do we even come here?" She stood up and I looked at her. She stood silent then looked at me and smiled.

"Eren, I have yet to tell you, but let's keep going." She ran off further into the forest and I followed behind her.

Normal Time:

Eren POV:

(Y.N) finally stopped walking and turned to me. She cupped my face and kissed me. I kissed her back. When we let apart she looked me dead in the eyes and said, "Eren, I want to tell you now." "You might think the reason is stupid but, it's important to me."

I hugged her and said, "It's not stupid, tell me."

She turned to one specific tree and traced it with her finger. "This tree holds where I placed the locket you gave me on our anniversary." She pulled the locket out of the tree hole and placed around her neck.

She went to the tree diagonal  from the one she was at and placed her head on it. "This one holds our first picture we took together." She pulled the picture out and looked at it and smiled then put it back in the tree hole.

She walked up to me with wide and bright eyes and grabbed my hands and nuzzled them. "There is many more memories in here." She said looking around. She then looked back at me. "Eren all the memories of us live in this forest." "That is why I didn't tell you right away, I wanted to grow our memories." She let go of my hands and spun in a circle with her arms out and then walked back over to me. "This is my memory forest."  She pulled my hand to a specific tree, it was the one I told her was my favorite tree; a small willow tree that was bright and vibrant.

Flashback:

Eren POV:

I followed behind (Y.N) as she ran through the forest but I stopped when a very bright tree caught my eye.

(Y.N) realized I stopped and came back and I looked at her. "Look at this one (Y.N), this one is beautiful, what is this one called?" I asked her.

She walked closer and rubbed the bark of the tree, taking it's beauty in. "It's a willow, do you really like it?" She asked, looking at me. "Yes I love this tree." I said and put my hand over hers that was touching the bark she blushed and I kissed her.

Normal Time:

Eren POV:

(Y.N) picked up my hand and placed it on the bark. I saw there was a small hole and she looked me. "What memory will you make next Eren?" I placed my hand in and felt something. I grabbed it and saw it was a small box. I looked at her and she smiled at me. I opened the box and found a small ring. I put my hand over my mouth and looked at (Y.N). "Marry me Eren, I love you."

I put the ring on and hugged her and we both cried into each other shoulders.

The wind blew through the forest and we felt the cold rush and we opened our eyes and saw the light shine through the trees and I looked at (Y.N) who was looking up at the sky and she looked and smiled at me and held my hand.

"The memory forest has bloomed, Eren." "It's our memory forest."

I hugged her and placed the box back in the tree and we walked through our memory forest.
