His Pain

Yoonbum lay sprawled on the basement floor, Sangwoo looming above him like a mountain. Yoonbum's vision blurred in and out of focus and he gasped out loud at the sharp pain in his head. Sangwoo seemed to be saying something, but Yoonbum couldn't make out what it was with the ringing in his ears. Sangwoo leaned over Yoonbum's immobile body and put his hand on the back of Bum's head. He winced at a sudden pain that shot through his skull and when Sangwoo removed his hand, Yoonbum could see it was slightly bloody. Sangwoo stood back up and crossed to the other side of the basement, returning with a small plastic cup. Yoonbum couldn't even muster the strength to feel scared or uneasy about what might happen. Sangwoo knelt down and lifted Yoonbum's head, pouring the contents of the cup into his mouth. Yoonbum was still too dazed to react at all, and the liquid involuntarily slid down his throat. He could feel it burning as it went down and when it hit his stomach it felt like fire. Yoonbum began to cough, and with each hack his head throbbed over and over, until the pain eventually became too great and he blacked out.
When Yoonbum woke back up, all he could see was whiteness. The pain in his head was gone and he felt a light, floating sensation throughout his body. Not knowing what had happened, Yoonbum's thoughts started racing. His first thought was that he was dead, but he quickly reassured himself that that was impossible. Surely how he felt now was not what death felt like. He wondered if Sangwoo had drugged him for some reason. This seemed like the most likely possibility, and Yoonbum finally started to feel afraid for what might have happened to him while he was unconscious. He did a mental check, but could not find anything wrong with his body. He moved all his limbs and found no broken bones. He could feel no scabs or bruises anywhere, either, so he decided to try and sit up to look around. As soon as he did so, he felt such an overwhelming dizziness that he simply collapsed back. But he did see where he was lying in the brief moment he had to survey his surroundings. He seemed to be in Sangwoo's room, tucked into bed. That's weird, he thought, Sangwoo doesn't exactly seem like the kind of person to tuck me into his bed.
Just then, the door slid open and Sangwoo entered the room, holding a steaming bowl and some bread.
"Oh. So you're awake," he said, seeing Yoonbum watching him in confusion and fear. Yoonbum tried to sit up again, but Sangwoo immediately stopped him.
"Don't bother. You hit your head pretty hard, so you have a pretty bad concussion. You haven't woken up in almost two days." Sangwoo tried to say this like it was some kind of joke, but Yoonbum could sense there was something bothering him.
"Sangwoo? What..."
"Oh, you don't remember? How annoying. We were playing one of my little games and you fell down the stairs. Pretty inconvenient for me, actually. I had to drag your ass up here and go mop up the blood you got all over the floor." Sangwoo was trying to play it off as though he didn't care what had happened.
"Oh," Yoonbum said, not quite sure how to respond, "S-sorry, Sangwoo. I didn't mean to..."
Sangwoo responded quickly, not looking at Yoonbum;
"Forget it. It's fine."
