It only takes a second for everything you’ve ever known to change.
Thousands of people are dying because of me. They’re dying because I’m too afraid to find their saviour. I’m too afraid to find the other half of my soul.
The other day, my friends and I went to the beach. For the first time, we decided to visit the pier. We’d never been on the pier, but something made us decide to go to the pier. We visited the two pence machines, visited several booths and even went on a few rides. At the end of the pier was a rackety old shack labelled ‘Fortunes’. Something drew me towards that shack; something forced me to go inside.
As I sat on the plush chair, the elderly lady opposite me gripped my hands and insisted that I remain calm and breathe steadily. As instructed, I did.
“Without finding your other half, the results will be catastrophic. Complete your soul.” And that’s where I am today, watching people suffer because she was right and I’m unable to locate my other half.
