Chapter 7

Upon my request the king was going to meet me tonight in the maze garden. This is where I would put my plan into action. Where I would make the king fall for me. I will drive him mad with desire for me.

Part of me was ever so nervous of him finding out what my plans are and then sending me to the tower. And I knew I was breaking my promise to Queen Catherine. But I had to do this, I had to save Anne's life. And if this prophecy is true, well then this is my destiny.

Nightfall came upon us quickly I was In Anne's room getting ready for my meeting with Henry. I was wearing a satin Green dress my Hair was curled to perfection with a crown of roses upon my head. I couldn't believe how beautiful I looked. Anne smiled up at me, " You look Wonderful Saraphina! The king will not be able to take his eyes of you this evening! But you must remember don't give in to his charms you must be the seducer here you must make him want you more than anything." Anne said speaking seriously as she was worried about her friend.

Fear not Dear Anne I have remembered everything you told me I shall not let the king get to me so easily. I chuckled hugging my new found friend.

Later that evening I found my self in the palace garden waiting for the king in the maze. I felt two hands snake around my waist. I knew straight away that it was the king.

Smiling I turn around a blush creeping up my cheeks as I see the desire he holds in his eyes. "Your majesty" I curtsy my eyes looking down. Henry takes my chin slowly lifting my face up so my eyes meet his. "Lovely Saraphina, I was most pleased to receive an invitation from you I have thought of nothing but you since our first meeting at the ball." I smile linking my Arm with his as we start walking along with the aroma of roses filling the air. "I too have thought often of you your majesty but I tell my self I must try hard to refrain from doing so as I am only a simple lady's maid." Henry stops and looks at me, he seemed deep in thought. "You intoxicate my mind Saraphina I do not love Catherine she has failed to bear me any sons and now she cannot have any more children. We have had nine still born and only one girl. I wish to seek another bride and I want you to be my official Mistress."

To say I was shocked was an understatement I couldn't believe so quickly the king had asked me to be his mistress... I remembered what Anne said which is not to let him get what he wants to quickly so hard to get is how I must play this game.

"Your majesty I don't know what to say! I have always promised I would never give away my virtue to a man that was not my husband. I care for you deeply My king but I must marry before I give my virtue."
