Alia couldn't believe she had helped him. After all the promises to herself that she would take revenge.
Things were worse with Sarilyn crushing on Luke. How could that even happen? What was so good about the best friend of a horrible bully who couldn't even stop the bully from bullying?
Shaking her head, she went into her homeroom.
Only to bump smack into a wall.
A wall that was Ajax Hunter.
She stared at him stupidly for a second. Why was he here? They weren't in the same homeroom. He had no reason to be here.
"You again," Ajax said flatly. Surprisingly, he didn't do or say anything else, but walked around her and sat down in a seat.
    The seat right beside hers.
    "That's Sarilyn's seat!" Alia exclaimed.
"Unfortunately, your friend got switched to a different homeroom," Ajax said smugly.
"What is wrong with you?! You did this on purpose to bully me, didn't you?"
Ajax actually looked surprised, but quickly recovered. "Why would I want to be in the same room as you with thirty-something people, including the teacher to witness it, just to bully you?"
"I know for a fact that you don't care," Alia snapped.
Ajax snorted. "Whatever. But there's no reason to switch homerooms just for a victim. The world doesn't revolve around you."
    "Take your own advice."
"Just shut your freaking hole and get over it already."
Alia glanced around the room. To her utter dismay, all the seats were occupied.
Except for the one beside Ajax.
    Fantastic.
She slammed her bag onto the desk and sat down hard.
    "This is sh*t,"she muttered.
"Glad you think so," Ajax said in his smug, annoying voice.
"Who said I was talking to you?"
    "Me."
Alia swore that his ego was bigger than the entire country.
"Thank you for being such a stupid person."
Ajax scowled and pushed his homework onto her desk.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"Trying to make more space for my desk."
"Of course, your arms are way too big and fat to handle such a small, closed space as a desk, aren't they?"
Ajax pushed his homework further onto her desk, causing her stationary to fall off at the other side.
"I swear you're the worst person I've ever met."
    "Does that even need stating?"
Alia glared at him and pushed his homework off her desk and onto the floor, managing to pick up her stationary at the same time.
Ajax swore. "Pick them up,"he snarled.
Alia peered over her desk to see the exercise books and worksheets that were obviously Ajax's homework spread across the floor.
Smirking, she sat back up, ignoring the murderous glares Ajax was sending her.
After ten whole minutes, when it was clear Alia wouldn't move, Ajax bent to pick his homework up, muttering something unintelligible.
Just then, Mrs. Cora came walking in, her three-inch heels clicking on the smooth floor of the classroom. "Good morning everyone."
"Good morning Mrs. Cora,"the class chorused.
Their homeroom teacher just wasn't someone they'd mess with.
Besides, it wasn't as if she was disliked. The class seemed to hold some kind of respect for her. Considering how people treated their teachers nowadays, that was pretty big.
"So, everyone, we have a new student in our class today. Well, not exactly new, but he's from a different homeroom. Miss Sarilyn Emble has switched with this gentleman."
Alia gagged at the word "gentleman". Ajax was anything but a gentleman.
Beside her, Ajax smirked at her reaction.
"Let me introduce--Ajax Hunter," Mrs. Cora finished.
There was a collective gasp as people looked around the classroom to search for him.
It was clear from the horror on their faces that they did not want a bully in their classroom. Why would anyone even want that anyway?
    Alia groaned inwardly.
The rest of the year was going to be a disaster. She could totally feel it.
