    Alia gasped when a hand grabbed her roughly from behind. The attacker yanked her into an alley, grunting.
    She was thrusted against the wall of the alley, facing her attacker. She came face to face with him.
    "Oh. It's you, "she said.
    Right into the face of Ajax Hunter.
    Ajax couldn't believe all the girl said was "oh. It's you" instead of screaming or yelling out for help. Her unnatural calmness only enraged him further.
    "You," he hissed, "have already ruined enough of my day. It's time you do a little paying. "
    "Okay, " Alia said.
    Okay? Okay? What was wrong with the girl?
    "Ugh! I hate you!" Ajax yelled at her.
    "No you don't, " Alia said confidently.
    Ajax punched her in the face, causing her to scream as the bones in her cheek cracked .
    He smiled, satisfied with her reaction.
    Alia looked him in the eye fearlessly. She could taste blood in her mouth, and she felt as if her cheek was on fire.
    "You don't hate me because you can't, Ajax,"she said. In truth, she was sure that he was totally capable, but let the boy doubt himself a bit, it would do them both some good.
    Ajax clenched his teeth in frustration. There was definitely something wrong with this girl.
    For some reason, he couldn't bring himself to punch her again, so he twisted her arm behind her back, making sure she felt the pain.
    Alia screamed again. She couldn't speak, but she was going to make sure Ajax regretted his actions.
    She glared at him, making sure he saw the determination and dislike in her eyes.
    He only stared back at her emotionlessly.
    "You can go now," Ajax said, "and don't tell anyone about our little encounter. Not that you can speak,"he laughed.
    Alia struggled from his grasp and punched his stomach as hard as she could before dashing away, feeling glad that she was a fast runner and that her ankle hadn't been anything serious and only hurt temporarily.
    Even knowing that her Mom would go berserk seeing her broken cheek and swollen elbow , Alia knew she had no choice but to go home. It wasn't as if she had anywhere else to go.
    She knocked on the front door, her heart pounding.
    As soon as the door opened, her mom screamed.
   "Robert! Call the ambulance! NOW! "
    Alia's Dad took one look at her and ran to the phone.
    "Lie down on the couch, " Emily told her daughter.
    Alia obeyed willingly, wincing as her cheek throbbed with Ajax's punch.
    Minutes later, an ambulance arrived. Ambulance men came out of the vehicle and helped her onto it.
    Once they arrived at the hospital,  Alia was escorted to a room where nurses cleaned the blood on her face. They talked to Emily to get permission for a minor operation.
    Alia felt dizzy, a little as if she were floating. Probably because of blood loss or simply the smell of blood.
    The nurses gave her an injection, and within seconds, everything went blank.

                             ~~~
    Ajax blinked in surprise when the girl punched him in the stomach .
   By the time he recovered, she was gone. Growling, he slapped himself inwardly for not being more careful.       His blood boiled just at the thought of the fact he'd let the girl go. And he didn't even know her name. Though for some reason, something felt a little off this time after he bullied a person.
    Strangely, he felt something like...like guilt. He'd never felt guilty after bullying a person before, the feeling was new to him. But he was pretty sure what he was feeling was guilt.
   Or maybe not. Shaking himself, he headed toward home.
   There might be something wrong with himself.
