"All skaters please begin your warm ups!" The announcers said sounding bored. As Viktor glided onto the ice Felicity jumped up on her feet holding a beautifully designed sign. "GO VIKTOR!!!" She cheered. Viktor waved happily and placed his hand over his heart. Right where the pendant she gave him lay. And she did the same over the pendant he gave her. She sat back down. Completely oblivious to the fact that everyone was staring at her. "Hey I'm Minako." Said the girl to her right. "At first I thought you were just another fangirl but... you and Viktor seem to have a connection... are you his girlfriend?" "Oh gosh no!" Felicity giggled. "I'm his sister!"
"Really?! You're Felicity Nikiforov?! The three time gold medalist?!" "The one and only." "Wow! You've no idea how much my friend looks up to you and your brother Ms. Nikiforov!" The girl said excitedly. "Please. Call me Felicity." She said, startled by all the formality this girl was using. "Miss um..."
"Minako." Said the girl. "You don't look like Viktor's sister." "Oh! Well yes, whenever I go to my brother's competitions I dye my hair a more subtle color. Not my natural silver hair color. It helps me avoid fans and I can watch my brother skate without all the fuss. Here look. I guess a few people noticing won't matter..." Felicity pulled a spray bottle out of her bag and sprayed her hair with water. The color went from a dull brown to a startling silver.
"See?" Felicity said. "And here come the fans..." a group of people we're heading towards the two girls, excited eyes all trained on her. The group came closer and she could hear them chattering in anticipation. "Felicity! Can I have your autograph?!" "Sure!" "Can I take a picture with you?!" "Of course!" Felicity just plastered a big grin on her face and signed autographs, took pictures, and handed out a stash of autographs Viktor had signed for just this kind of thing.
"Wow" Minako said. "Seems over bearing..." Felicity was happy to have someone other than her brother who understood how stressful things could be. "Hey, why don't we swap numbers? That way we can stay in touch!" "That would be great!" "In fact..." she said slyly. "Minako... I consider you a friend. And if you were interested... I may be able to get you some autographs." "Really?? Thanks Felicity!"
Felicity decided to head down to the skaters area to wish her brother good luck and to watch him skate. She had a pass so the coaches knew she was aloud down there. She walked along the halls taking her time. Viktor won't be up for a while, I can walk fairly slow. She thought. Suddenly a hand grabbed her by the small of the back and she was pulled close by... Chris. She thought bitterly. "Hey babe." Chris said in a deep tone. "Chris let me go! I've told you three billion times, I... AM NOT ... INTERESTED!!!!" Felicity struggled to break free of Chris's tight hold. "Oh. Well, it doesn't matter, I'll convince you..." his hand slid down her back closer to the top of her jeans. "STOP!!" She screamed. "HELP!!! ANYONE PLEASE!!!!" Tears streamed down her cheeks, she felt helpless. "VIKTOR!!!!!" She sobbed.
She hoped and prayed her brother could hear her. "Chris." Came a voice from behind Chris, who immediately turned and came face to face with Viktor. "Viktor! I was just..." Chris trailed off lacking an excuse that would save his sorry little face from being pounded in. "My sister please." Viktor looked livid. "But.." Chris started, then changed his mind. "Fine." He said roughly shoving Felicity into her brother's arms.
"Thank you!!!!" Felicity cried quietly into Viktor's shoulder as Chris stalked away. He held her at arms length and said; "What did he do to you?" His eyes were completely serious. "He grabbed me by the small of the back, and then he slid his hand down..." she burst into tears again. "You got here just in time Viktor... I love you." "I love you too." Felicity snapped her head up. "You're almost up!" She squealed. "You need to get going!" She grabbed her brother's hand and dragged him towards the ice and a smile spread across his face. As he stepped onto the ice she yelled; "GOOD LUCK BIG BROTHER!"
