A/N: shout out to Samtheham for reminding me of why I write. I'm so glad that so many people have read my story, it keeps me going. I appreciated your message so much but I couldn't respond directly because my email is being crappy. So this is my way of saying thank you.
I sat up in my bed when my alarm went off. I bolted to my closet and pulled out my uniform. I did my makeup, not too much but just enough. I rushed down the hall and gave my brother a kiss goodbye and waved to him as I ran down stairs. At the door, stood Nagisa. I ran up to him, kissed him on the cheek and grabbed his hand. "So... my mom may come pick us up." He said. "Oh no. Your mother gets to rest today. I sent a limo to pick up the rest of the Swim Club. It should be here any minute." I turned towards the road as Akahito pulled up. "Speak of the devil!" I laughed. I dragged Nagisa into the limo and we sat down, saying hi to the rest of the club. "This is really nice Felicity!" Mako said. "Yeah... its a treat from my brother. He wanted to thank you guys for being my friends..." I blushed. Mako laughed. "We would be your friends even if your brother didn't say thanks!" And we arrived. We stepped out of the limo and immediately there were blinding flashes. People asked questions and yelled at me and my friends. One man from the news station stopped us. "Miss Nikiforov! Is it true you will be joining the Iwatobi Swim Club?!" He said in a loud voice. "Yes. I'm taking a break from figure skating to support my brother while he goes through his first year as a coach. I figured that I'd go to a real school and try out some new things." I answered. People chattered as we finally pushed through the crowd of interviewees. The students stared as we walked in, and I pressed closer to Nagisa, feeling shy. I had dealt with all sorts of crazy scandal crap. But this was all new to me. We walked to home room, and sat down.
"Class, today we have a new transfer student!" Said the kind looking teacher. "Miss Nikiforov, if you wouldn't mind..." she gestured to the front of the room. "Of course!" I said. I stood up and walked to the front of the class. I turned and looked at the group of kids who were now staring, there jaws hanging open. I flashed one of my signature smiles and waved. "Hi everyone! My name is Felicity Nikiforov, I transferred here while I'm here in Japan with my brother. I'm super excited to be here and hope that I'll be accepted as a normal kid instead of a celebrity." I smiled again, this time at Nagisa, who gave me a big smile and a thumbs up. "Does anyone have any questions for Felicity?" The teacher asked. A girl in the back raised her hand. "Yes?" I said. "What's Russia like?" She asked. "Oh! It's wonderful! We don't have pretty cherry blossoms but it does look very beautiful when it snows." Another hand went up. "Why aren't you in Russia skating? I always loved watching you." The girl who asked looked embarrassed. "Well," I said. "My brother and I are taking a break to focus on personal matters." Another hand in the air. "Why would you go to such a small school? I mean, you could get into just about any school you wanted? Why this school?" I glanced at my friends and smiled. "Well, I came here because I was offered to join an activity." I said vaguely. "What activity? Is it a club?" "Why yes. I've joined the swim team." And some people's jaws hit the floor. "But you're a figure skater!" "Yes but swimming is my second favorite sport. It will also keep me in shape." "Ok, no more questions."
(Man I seem to really like time skips.....................)
I pulled on my swim suit and walked back out to the pool. When I walked out, the only person there was Mako. "*whistles* Wow Nikiforov, didn't know how good you looked in a swim suit." He said playfully. I hit him on the arm. "Oh haha very funny." I said sarcastically. Why is it that boys enjoy teasing their female friends? (Srsly if anyone knows tell me.) "But seriously, you look great. Nagisa's a lucky guy." "Makoto Tachibana. Are you flirting with me?" Mako laughed. "Of course not! That's ridiculous." I couldn't help but laugh. Yes, I liked Makoto. But not like that. Makoto was more like a twin brother. I waited for the rest of the guys to show up. When they did, we swam. For hours. It was like figure skating, only more relaxed. When I skated, Yakov was always yelling at me about what I could do better. When I swam with these guys, it was just gentle advice and some shrugs and sighs from Haruka. Luckily coach Sasabe wasn't here today. I climbed out of the pool and dried off. I stood by the edge and watched Haruka swim. "Felicity!" Came Nagisa's voice from behind me. I turned just in time to be knocked into the pool by Nagisa. He pulled me under the water and kissed me, then came back up as if nothing had happened. "Nagisa Hazuki!" I yelled through my laughter. "I was dry!" "And now you're wet!" Nagisa laughed. I splashed him in the face and he tried to retaliate. He missed. And hit Haruka, who whipped around and blasted me in the face with water. "Haruka!" I yelled. I splashed back, only to discover that I had splashed the wrong person. Mako swam over, grabbed me by the waist and lifted me up. He threw me over the heads of the shocked looking Swim Club, and I went under in the deep end. I let myself float to the top, pretending to have drowned.
"Felicity?!" Nagisa called. I heard splashing as the guys rushed over to me. I held my breath. "Felicity!" Makoto yelled. A pair of arms hooked around my knees and back as someone carried me to the edge of the pool. "Guys..." Haruka began. I tilted my head the slightest bit so I was facing Haruka. He knew what I was trying to convey. "Is she ok?" He asked. Thank god he didn't tell them. "Felicity! Can you hear me?! If you can here me then wake up!!" Nagisa was now practically yelling in my ear. I sat up and splashed all of them, laughing. "Hey! That wasn't funny Felicity!" Nagisa wined. "You're right... it wasn't funny..." I said, feigning shame. "It was hysterical!" For the rest of the day we played in the pool, splashing and swimming. It was the best day ever. I wonder what tomorrow will be like?
