Destined For Greatness

2. Lisa

"L-Lisa, what exactly are you doing breaking onto my house?" Lucas asked in a bit of annoyance and confusion. Sat before him was Lisa, a girl who was around Lucas's age and also skilled in the field of magic.Jack flew to Lisa and sat on her lap. In return she instantly starting petting him. Chase walked in from the kitchen. "Yo you're back" Chase said. Lucas face palmed and sighed. 

"So why are you guys here?" He asked. "I wanted to tell you guys something. I was walking to your house and saw Chase, so I told him to come along" Lisa explained. "It must be important if you broke into my freaking house" Lucas laughed. "So what was it that you wanted to tell us?" Chase inquired. "So was at Cartana earlier and-" she was cut off by Chase. "Don't tell you tried touching the destined orb, ya know people have almost died from that challenge right?" he reminded. 

One day, a magical orb was put in a town by a mysterious lady. When someone touched the orb, they'd get blasted back by a terrible and deadly force. Although no deaths occurred a lot of people were hospitalized from it. The people of town panicked and had to do something about it. They built around it, and shifted their town over. Touching the orb has become a trial or challenge. Starting at the end of town one must make it through a river, a jungle, and wild beasts. The orb is somewhere in the forest, and the goal is to simply find it and pick it up. So far no one has succeeded, and the people who find the orb always get blasted away. The conclusion was made it was for a certain person, so it was deemed the destined orb.

"Yeah yeah I know" Lisa assured. She rolled up her sleeves to reveal bandages on both her arms all the way up. "I couldn't even find it, the wild animals and beasts were too much of a hastle. That's where you two come it" a smirk appeared on her face. "No way!" Chase declared. "I can't even use magic, it's not like I'd survive long" Lucas said. 

"You guys have to come! Lucas you are strong you just don't see it! Chase you are an extremely gifted magic user you guys have to please!!" she begged. Lucas and Chase looked at each other. "Fiiiine" they groaned. She smiled and hugged both of them. "We''ll go tomorrow! You guys are the best see ya later bye" she ran out. "Peace" Chase said and left to. 

Jack flew and landed on Lucas's head. "Are you sure about this?"  Jack asked. He shrugged in response. "I guess it's whatever. No turning back now" He told him. "Jack nodded, we stick together, which means I'm coming to!" Jack stated. Lucas nodded with a smile. "Of course little buddy, through thick and thin we''ll always be together" Lucas said, but then he let out a yawn. "Ya know what that means" Jack chuckled and flew upstairs. Lucas stretched, "Sleeping time!" Lucas followed him and the two of them went to bed, wanting to make sure they were well rested for tomorrow's big event.
