Destined For Greatness

1. Lucas and Jack.

"Jack, we're finally done!" Lucas cheered with delight. Jack flew and landed on top of Lucas's head. "I know right! it took ages, but we finally finished" Jack remarked. Despite the two of them being up since morning, they just now finished cleaning the whole house. "Don't ya feel clean?" Jack asked. Lucas shook his head. "Not quite, I need to shower" Lucas replied. Jack flew over to the couch and laid down.

 Lucas dashed up the stairs and went into the bathroom. He then turned on the water and switched it to shower mode. Because the water needs time to heat, Lucas used this as an opportunity to pick out what he planned too wear afterwards."Hm, so this pair of boxers, this pair of socks, this pair of pants and this shirt" He laid them softly on his bed and went to shower. 

After about twelve minutes, Lucas turned off the water, wrapped the towel around him and went back into his room. Once reaching his room he began dressing himself.  After getting ready he checked the mirror. "No shock, I look good as always" he chuckled to himself. He walk downstairs to see Jack peacefully sleeping on the couch. He smiled at his adorable friend.

Not only is Jack Lucas's pet, he's also his best friend. When Lucas as seven, he went out to find some apples in a forest, but found an weird looking egg. After about three days in his possession, it hatched and to everyone's shock, it was a living, breathing, blue, baby dragon. Despite this, the dragon was immediately accepted into the guild. It took him almost a day but Lucas finally came to conclusion to name him Jack. The two of them became practically inseparable ever since. Jack has grown to be about the size of a lion cub. 

Lucas walked over to his sleeping companion.  He gave him a nudge in the belly. "Five more minutes...." Jack groaned. Lucas rolled his eyes, and then began full on shaking him. "Okay, okay I'm up!' Jack said in anger. Lucas just laughed. "Come on buddy, let's go" Lucas said. Jack spread his wings and circled the room. When Lucas opened the door, Jack flew out. "To WinterKtten we go!" Lucas yelled with happiness. 

Lucas opened the guild doors to see his fellow comrades. He waved, "Hello everyone!". They all greeted him back.  A boy around his age walked up to him with a face of disgust. "Why are you always so loud? Yeesh" He said with a grouchy tone. Lucas sighed. "Why hello there Chase" Lucas said back. Chase smiled. "Positive and optimistic as always, what job are you picking?" He asked. Jack flew to them with a job request in hand. "This one!" Jack said. Lucas read it. "Hm, apple picking? Why would someone need help with that?" Lucas asked. "I don't know, but look at the reward!" Jack said happily. "Oh my gosh five thousand dollars!?" Lucas instantly was on board. "Bye Chase let's go Jack!" Jack picked up Lucas and flew him out the guild. 

They arrived in a town called Beljum, and to their surprise, there was indeed a catch. There was over 400 trees that needed to be picked. However, seeing how they would be rewarded greatly, they took on the challenge. They completed it, although it took them most of the day, just finishing when the sun began to set. "Thank you, shall have the money sent to your guild" The lady said. Lucas nodded and waved goodbye and flew to the guild, which took about five minutes. 

When Lucas returned he was called over by a guild mate of his. "What's up Sasha?" He asked. "You have money that was sent in, five thousand dollars" she explained. "Wow that was fast" Lucas said. "Really really fast" Jack added. She chuckled the  asked, "Would you like to put in your guild's money account?". "Yes, thank you" he replied. She raised her finger and she started updating Lucas's account by pressing things in mid air. "What magic is that called again?" Lucas asked. "Archive touch magic, it allows to update money and accounts from wherever I'm at" she answered. "There, all finished" she said. "Magic is so amazing" he said smiling. "I know, you'll use it one day I know it" Sasha said with hope. "Hopefully" he shrugged. The two of them waved goodbye and headed back home. 

"Today went by kind of fast ya know" Lucas stated. Jack nodded his head in agreement. "Now we're back home" He said. Jack opened his door and took off his shoes. "You're finally here!" a female voice said. Lucas and Jack flung their heads around to see someone sitting on their couch.
