Zayn

I walked out of the hospital with my jacket. She may not know that I was the one who saved her yet but she should soon. Looking down at the jacket in my hands I remembered that first day of school.

********flashback********

"who?" I asked my brother that lived in Ireland with my father.

"There's a girl moving there that I dated. She broke up with me for my best friend. She's a total bitch. trust me you'll know her when you see her. Short white blonde hair and keeps to herself."

The next day at school I saw the girl my brother described. The moment I laid eyes on her I saw red. This was the girl that had hurt my brother. From that moment on I was not able to even lay eyes on her without feeling the need to hurt her.

In my mind she deserved all the pain that she received. What she did to my brother was beyond terrible.

***********flashback over**********

Knowing that we weren't the only people that hurt her struck a chord with me. We're these other people hurting her as much as we do? If so, was the reason I hated her really viable enough to hurt her?

I couldn't believe that I was actually second guessing myself. Now that I think back she didn't look like the type to lead on a guy let alone jump from one guy to the other. She never talked to anyone in school, not even before we started labeling her as an outcast. She was always reserved and quiet, as if she were afraid to say a word.

I shook my head, clearing the thoughts. She probably changed when she got here and tried to lead people on that she was nice before overturning the total social ladder and putting herself up top.

I just had to stick to my plan to work her down, a plan Liam had failed to complete. Instead of being more afraid of what I would do to him if he turned his back he went off and felt sorry for the girl. Weakling.

Niall

I helped Liam into his house and up the stairs to his room. If he had even attempted to assist me at all it would have much easier lugging the lad up two flights of stairs. Once I had him laid in his bed I went downstairs to see if his parents were home. Knowing them they were probably at work. It couldn't hurt to try.

Walking into the kitchen I saw a woman standing by the microwave talking on her cellphone. When she turned around I felt my eyes widen. "Nicola?" I asked in surprise.

Nicola was rarely ever home and was usually helping Liam's parents at the office.

She turned to see me and waved, "Alright but next time run it by me fore you plan something that big." She sighed into the phone before hanging up. "Niall! Oh my you've gotten so big. I can't even remember the last time I saw you. Where's Liam?"

I smiled at her, "He's up in his room but it's probably better to let him rest. He's not in the best shape." I explained.

Her eyes widened, "Niall what happened to him, and don't you dare lie to me."

I motioned to a chair by the dining table. "Have a seat this could take a while to explain."

Sitting down she crossed her arms and glared at me. "Now tell me what happened to my baby brother."

I sat across from her. "Ill tell you but you can't blame Liam for anything that I tell you. It all started when a new girl moved from Ireland. For some reason Zayn labeled her as someone that the whole school should hate. He began bullying her which led to her being beaten by our group nearly everyday. She didn't have any friends, Zayn made sure of that."

"What does this have to do with what happened to my brother?" She cut me off.

"Just let me finish because it has everything to do with it. Recently she started fighting back and Zayn didn't like it. He had Liam pretend to break off from the group and pretend to befriend her so Zayn could catch her off guard one day and take her down. Liam went along with the plan but he didn't do what Zayn wanted. He was beginning to befriend her but something happened. He came to school today and told Zayn that we needed to stop bullying her.

"Honestly I was on Liam's side but Zayn was beyond angry. Zayn forced us to beat Liam up for going against what he said. The rest of us were told not to help him but Liam is more of a friend than Zayn will ever be. I always help my friends even if it means I'll end up the same."

"Wait a second. My brother was beating on a poor girl?! I can't believe this. How could he ever do this. Didn't mum and dad raise him right?" She exclaimed.

I crossed my arms, "No. They hardly raised him at all. In case you haven't noticed they're never here. He can't exactly learn by example."

Sighing she rubbed her hands up her face. "Just let me go see him please."
