9.) The Enchanted Warrior
Finally, waking up I was still on the ground, right where I last remember being knocked out. Naraku was still controlling me, so I assumed Sesshomaru hadn't made any progress on that. Obviously it was his job to fix this, since it was his fault I was in this mess in the first place. Naraku then told me to go to him and fight off Sesshomaru and Inuyasha for him. Even though, I didn't want to fight for Naraku, I had to, he had control of my heart, which was the closest he was going to get to my Infinity Crystal.
I looked around at my surroundings to come to realize, Kagome, and the others were still here watching me. "Michaela Rae, what's happening?" Kagome asked as I got up from her arms.
"Naraku captured me and has me under control, I'm sorry, I've got to go," I ran off before anybody could stop me or ask me any more questions.
"Michaela Rae what are you doing here?" Sesshomaru lashed out as he noticed I was back in Naraku's castle.
"I don't know if you've realized this," I remarked still very livid. "But, because of you, for a ridiculous reason, I now have to follow orders from him, the bad guy, remember Sesshomaru, he is the bad guy and you let me get captured by him." I marched straight up to him, "What the hell is the matter with you?" I snapped ferociously.
"Interesting, it seems it didn't take much to turn this girl against you, Sesshomaru, maybe she didn't love you as much as we previously thought." Naraku laughed, "What a fool you are, Sesshomaru, it would have been much wiser to keep the mighty Sun Hope Warrior on your side. You know how much power she actually has and thanks to you it has been turned against you. I wonder Sesshomaru what will you do?"
"Silence!" Sesshomaru eyes began to widen as they filled into a blood red as he started to transform into his demon form. "I will end you, ridding of the control that you have against Michaela Rae. Your foolish games end now!"
I started to feel terrified as Sesshomaru turned into the monster that he truly is, because that was when it finally made sense in my brain. The person that I fell in love with, was a demon, he was a monster. And all the bravery I felt while we battled aside each other against other monsters vanished. The fear that I had earlier, when I first entered the feudal era against that monster before Inuyasha saved me all returned.
"Would you look at that?" Naraku laughed, "She's terrified of you, abosolutely scared.
Sesshomaru looked down at me from where he was. He had turned into the dog demon now but when he looked at me his eyes weren't calming or good at all. All I saw was a demon. He was a demon. How could I let myself fall in love with a monster?
"Michaela Rae!" Naraku called, "Stop him!"
"I won't!" I cried as Sesshomaru was still staring at me.
"Foolish girl you'll regret that." Naraku powered up as he charged towards Sesshomaru.
"Where is her heart?" Sesshomaru hissed as he pinned down Naraku, "If you wish to see tomorrow, it would be wise if you told me."
"You think just because you can intimidate me, I will show you the whereabouts of me controlling her, my most powerful pawn."
"What good is she to you if she won't even obey?" Sesshomaru snarled as he held Naraku down and began charging up a ball of what seemed to be demonic energy. "Give her hear back." Sesshomaru growled as he released the blast at Naraku, inevitably hitting him.
"You think just because you threaten me? I'll give up so easily?" he smirked, "You're going to have to try harder than that, come one, doesn't the strongest demon in all of Japan have more power than this? And I'll prove it to you." Naraku phased through the ground and appeared in front of Sesshomaru with a blast similar to the one Sesshomaru made.
Sesshomaru severed out of the way tackling him down with his claws. "What good is she to you? She'll never reach her full potential as long as she stays in this time. Only when she reunite with the other Warriors will the Infinity Crystal become complete with its fullest potential. She needs to go back to her time. She does not belong here, and she definitely does not belong here, serving under you."
And then I realized, he was not only a demon. He still cared about me, and I had to help him.
"You're going down Naraku!" I chanted.
Naraku turned over towards me, "Oh don't get ahead of yourself here," Naraku phased down into the ground and then appeared in front of me. "Remember? I still have this," he held out his hand of what appeared to be my beating heart. As his hands tightened around it, I could feel my chest wrap up as a sharp pain stabbed me repeatedly.
Falling to my knees in pain, Sesshomaru came before me.
"Michaela Rae don't fight him, I can fix this. This is my doing, let me undo it," His eyes looked at me pleadingly.
"No, I can help you, it'll be okay." I smiled at him reassuringly. Struggling, I still managed to get up. "You just worry about Naraku, I'll get my heart back."
"And how do you plan we do that?" he asked as he helped me get up, he rested his snout on me so I could lean on him.
"You shouldn't be able to get up, what is going on?" Naraku tried crushing down on my heart even harder. As the pain sharpened I still managed to stay standing, barely. I held onto Sesshomaru harder as he supported my weakness. "Where are you getting all this strength? This doesn't make sense! You should be falling to your knees, what is wrong with you? You mortal!"
"That's where you're wrong! I think you're forgotten who I am." I could stand up on my own then, "I am the Sun Hope Warrior, defender of everything good and green. And I will defeat you." I announced.
"Defeat me? You can't even stand up on your own yet alone defeat me, and how on earth do you expect to do that without a heart. Face it you and your dog demon are history."
Noticing I looked down as Sesshomaru started to return to his human form.
"What are you doing?" I asked him.
"Let's go Michaela Rae, he's not worth the effort. Let's get your heart back and leave."
