It's a lonely Sunday, like any other
I was considering visiting mother
But then I got a call from someone I didn't know
When his voice started it was careful and slow
"Hello? This is the suicide hotline, yes?"
I was so confused, how should I, could I progress
I told him " I'm sorry, this isn't the right one"
"Oh. Oh. I see." He wanted to be gone and done
But I stopped him... was that the wrong choice
Now I can't forget the sound of his voice
"Why? There's no one who loves me, it does not matter."
My heart skipped. Pit------patter
"No, I love you, and you matter aswell!"
Right now, I just wish I was free to dwell
"You really mean it?" He wasn't the same
I thought it was fine. What a shame..
"Please, I want to see you Miss."
I shouldn't have answered, left with ignorant bliss
"My lovely mademoiselle, what is you name?"
I can't tell you this, i don't want this to become fame
"...what a beautiful sound."
I knew something bad was going around
"Will you come see me? Please?" He spoke again
I didn't know if this stranger was my friend
But I chose to go. He told me the way
If I had known I would have told him another day
He was there at the door just as soon as I knocked
"You really came.." he hugged me, I was shocked
But I hugged him back. The guy seemed so lonely
If only if only if only...
"Come, come in." We both sat down on his bed
I remembering wondering what was in his head
"I can't believe you really exist..you are so beautiful."
I'm way to oblivious, how was this not unusual?
"Can I fetch you anything?" I could hear my heartbeat now
How didn't I know, how!?
"If you are cold, I can warm you up."
Oh man, I'd fucked up
"I just don't want you to cause yourself any harm.."
He wrapped his fingers in mine. His hands are warm
"Darling, as long as you're with me, that's the last thought in my mind"
I was so stupid, so blind
He leaned in. Oh god, he wanted a kiss
And worse, I didn't fight. I let him do this
