"just hurry up and die already! oh, for the love of- your turn, jimin. i'm tired of this game," yoongi grumbled as the screen showed a death scene that the screen displayed repeatedly one too many times. he handed over the controller to jimin, who had been watching his every move to point out his mistakes and guide him through the game.

"this soon?" jimin laughed, but he accepted the controller nonetheless. "i'll help you get through this part, but after that i'll let you play."

"yeah, whatever," he shrugged dismissively. slumping back on the couch and crossing his legs, yoongi couldn't help but stare in awe at how smoothly jimin beat the zombie to death rather violently. tearing his gaze away from the game, he turned to focus on jimin's small figure. back hunched forward, elbows propped on thighs, his eyes were staring forward attentively; facial features illuminated by the light of the screen in the dimly lit room.

"here you go!" jimin turned back to look at him, and he flinched, unsure of just how long he had stared at him for.

"oh, uh, thanks," yoongi leaned forward and grabbed the controller. his long, slender fingers fumbling with the buttons and joystick, he tried to continue playing without dying too many times. after about ten minutes of total silence except for the clicking of buttons and in-game sound effects, he decided it was jimin's turn, as seemed like he had grown bored of looking at him struggling with the controls.

"jimin, it's your turn. jimin?" he turned, only to see him lying on the couch fast asleep, hands in pockets and snoring quietly. he wondered to himself how he hadn't heard him a few minutes ago.

smiling to himself, yoongi laid back next to jimin and stared up at the ceiling, letting the small amount of sleepiness in his body grow bigger, fully consuming him within a matter of minutes.

"yo lovebirds, time to go! if you stay any longer, i might just lock you both in and call it a night," taehyung's voice shouted as yoongi heard the click of a light switch, followed by a bright light penetrating through his closed eyelids. he lazily raised a hand up to avoid being blinded, groaning and sitting up, seeing jimin had also sat up and was rubbing the sleepiness away from his eyes.

"what time is it?" jimin asked, his voice rougher than yoongi remembered.

"you guys really were out cold. it's twelve thirty already, sleepyhead!" taehyung walked over to the sofa they were sitting on, holding out a hand to each of them to help them up.

"twelve thirty?! oh my gosh, taehyung, i'm so sorry," jimin immediately snapped awake, apologizing repeatedly once he stood up.

"it's fine, i just didn't want you two to get into any trouble. the streets of seoul are really dangerous out here at night," taehyung's worry was etched on his face.

"i'm sure we'll be fine," yoongi assured, more directed towards jimin than to taehyung.

"we should get going," said jimin as he slung his bag over his shoulder.

"oh, do we need to close up the game?" yoongi motioned to the playstation. taehyung shook his head, ushering them outside.

"leave it to me! just make sure you get home safely," taehyung smiled and waved as the two walked to the exit.

"we'll come back next time!" jimin shouted over his shoulder as they stepped outside, the automatic doors shutting closed. he turned to look up at yoongi, warm breath a foggy white in the night air. "should we head home now?"

"we'll do that eventually," he nodded, lips curling into a small smile as he saw the confused expression on jimin's face. "but first, do you want to watch a movie?"

"that'll be 25000 won, sir."

"keep the change," yoongi smiled as he handed the cashier three 10000 won bills, grabbing the large box of popcorn as jimin held the drinks.

"good thing we could make it in time just before the 1am showing started," jimin flashed yoongi a wide smile which he returned.

right after they made themselves comfortable in their seats inside of the completely empty cinema, the lights dimmed as the movie started to play.
