chapter 14 → "smile"

i don't think i've ever seen you smile so widely before, so genuine and innocent, like a child's.

your hand rested on my shoulder while you were smiling, you were scared up there. i was too, especially with the judgmental stares coming from everyone.

the whole room was quiet, only filled with harsh stares and the strumming of my guitar and your humming of the lyrics we wrote together. We had fun writing these lyrics and it was just as fun performing with you too.

you seemed so happy. maybe it was the only time where people didn't see you as baby blue, but rather alex.

alex was the boy with a wide grin and puppy eyes with long brown hair and a voice that sounds so angelic with every word that you muster out of your mouth. alex is the one i have fallen in love with.

baby blue is gone for now, for as long as i'm still clutching your hand. your hands are no longer blue, nor your heart. we beat as one, purple.

my ultimate wish, for our hearts to melt into one and beat purple. we're doing exactly that.

the teacher cried while others were giving us impressed looks, a mix of reactions both of us weren't really expecting to get. but at least it's better than hate.

needless to say that we passed the class with an a.

now that school is least of our priorities, i have a good excuse to look at your face.

"i have nothing else to do but you."

you blush so hard whenever I say that. it's adorable. please, keep blushing for me, to remind me that our youthful love will never grow old. hopefully when we're old and losing our minds, i'll still be able to make you blush.
