Dear diary, today I am so excited!!! Me and Mami are going to Germany in a couple of days!!! I have been aching to ask Nour if he could walk with us. Mami is in her bedroom getting ready a couple days early because she wants to make sure that we have all the stuff that we need for the trip. I hurry into the room and ask her if I can go to Nour's place to ask him. She says it's fine as long as he is not busy. I ran out our little house and dashed to Nour's. He was also packing a couple days early. I asked him if he would like to walk with me and Mami and he said that he would be delighted! I feel like nothing can go wrong. وداعا, Yana

March 24  

 Dear diary, I can't sleep right now so I am writing to you. It is 2:45 a.m. and Mami is still fast asleep. I don't blame her. She was up 'til 11:45 p.m. bustling around the house making sure that we had everything. I don't know what to do right now. It is one of those moments where you are lying in bed, and you have nothing to dream about or you don't know what can make you fall asleep. Classical music is what makes Mami go to sleep. She usually takes out her rusty, old, and small radio. I can hear it in the distance right now. Well, just writing to you makes me tired. Maybe whenever I can't fall asleep, I can just write to you. Anyways, Goodnight. وداعا, Yana

Hey guys! It's GalacticQueen123!! This is my first book in diary form and my first story about something related to Syria. This book is based off of the time when Syrians fled their country and went to different places. Anywho, hope you like this chapter! Bye! Oh and translation: وداعا = Bye I chose to use 'وداعا' at the end of each paragraph Yana wrote because it means 'Bye' in Arabic and I thought it would be interesting to put that there because it was like Yana was saying bye to her diary and I thought that was cool. Well, hope you like the story! :)
