The familiar sound of the heart monitor beeping in the background was slowly driving me crazy. The slow beep that was coming from the horrid thing was the only assurance I had that my bother was still alive, aside from the light warmth radiating from his body. It's been two weeks since the accident, and two whole weeks since the last time I got to hear my baby brother's voice.

To say I was distraught was an understatement. For if I had not let the rouges comment affect me so much, Jayden would not be in a coma right now. For the last two weeks I have spent every moment free from searching for the mutt, right by my brother's side. I sleep in the hospital room with him every night, and I only leave the room when I go searching. We haven't found the mutt just yet, but we are getting close. I have made it very clear to my father that when we did find him, that I wanted to be the one to kill him. My patrols have said they have picked up on the smell of rouges right outside the western boarder line of my pack lands. I am currently checking on my brother before I go and check out what is going on out there.

"Goodbye Jay, I love you. I'll be back soon, I promise. I will destroy the mutt that caused this"

I felt the tears prick at my eyes and I automatically wiped at them, I needed to compose myself before I walked out the door. Seeing my brother like this was really taking it toll on me. Knowing that I can't do anything to help has really been eating away at me. The only way I can help is taking the life away from the mutt.

After composing myself, I walked out of the hospital and down the long corridor to the hospital exit. Walking out into the natural sunlight was a harsh reality to the dull white lights typically found in hospitals. Walking over to my range rover, a gust of wind blew by and accompanying it was guy curdling stench of rogues. Mind linking the patrols, Beta John, my father, and Lucas to inform them that I was going to investigate it, I took off towards the east quarters. The fact that the smell was coming from the east when I was informed they were also tracked from the west rose suspicions and worried me a little bit. Maybe there was more than I had originally thought. Pushing that thought to the back of my head, I noticed I was pretty deep in the east quarters now.

As I am patrolling, I can sense and smell a couple of rogues coming up from behind me. Growling lowly, I take off to my safe spot in the east quarters. Although I am a strong she-wolf, I am not naive. I haven't been eating nor resting properly lately, and I am a little weak from lack of nutrition. Not to mention, I cannot let them see me in my true form. I know if it is necessary I can handle myself, but my wolf is sacred. I cannot allow them to witness my wolf, it could mean war, seeing as I am the last known silver wolf among the werewolf community. Sensing the rogues were male, from their scent, I knew it was smart to go to the safe spot and contact my father rather than attempt to take on an unknown amount of rogues by myself.

Picking up my pace, I can hear the branches snap behind me as they get closer. Keeping my focus forward I see the dip in the woods, barely noticeable to anyone who hasn't roamed these woods before. The musky rotten smell is getting stronger which means more rouges are coming. I can hear their low growls becoming louder, and instantly my wolf feels threaten. I can feel her pushing to take control, although I'm holding her back. I cannot risk letting these rouges see my wolf unless absolutely necessary...

I keep running, the dip coming closer but suddenly 4 rouges appear in front of me.

"Surrounded by about 10 rouges in the east quarters. GET OUT HERE NOW!!!!"

After linking Lucas, I can feel my wolf coming, pushing closer to taking control.

The feeling of my bones cracking and moving into unnatural places gives me a sense of comfort and relief. Knowing they stood no chance against my wolf, after seeing her in full form, they begin to back away. I stand twice as tall as them in wolf form. Growling, I stalk forward until I see my pack members come up behind them.

"Kill them. But keep the smallest for questioning. I want to know why there are so many damn rouges on my territory. Lucas I will meet you in the cellars."

Hearing the growls of agreement, I take a look at the rouges one more time before I let out a menacing snarl and take off into the woods.

Only to be stopped by a large black wolf with a large scar right down his left eye. Before I could react, I smelled the air and smelt a heavenly smell of pine and mint mixed with a disgusting rotten smell.

OH YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. I HAVE A FUCKING ROUGE AS A MATE.
