CALLIE’s POV
It’s been a week since nangyari ung panliligaw at proposal ni D.
That was a shocker.
I had to admit it breaks my heart when he said “Ibalik mo na lang ang puso ko kung ganun.”
I don’t know pero I cried and cried til i reached home that night.
Iniwan nila ako MAG-ISA.
Si Matsuda napadaan nung naka 500 meters na ako sa paglalakad.
Nagtanong siya Pero di ko sinabi.
Since then, he visits me regularly. Broken hearted din daw siya.
Ewan lang ah.. kasi lagi naman siyang nakangiti.
Kasama ko ulit siya ngayun.
“Alam mo Peter, hindi ko alam kung bakit nagmamadaling ikasal si D.” sabi ko kay Peter/Matsuda.
“Nakwento niya sa akin yan minsan. He said he want to get marry at the age of 28. Exactly on his birthday. And today ung birthday niya.” Sagot ni Peter.
“What?!” bulalas ko.
“Ito oh. Pinapaabot niya.” He gave me the invitation of a wedding. Nanikip ang dibdib ko.

I can’t take this!
It’s just a week when he ask me to marry him. Hindi ko na binuksan ung invitation para alaminkung sino ung babaeng pinalit niya sa akin.
No. He must not marry now! Pailing-iling ako.
“P-peter. Ihatid mo ako dun please.” Mangiyak-ngiyak kong sabi.
“tara!” aniya. Hindi na ako nagbihis. Just my jeans and simple blouse.
“Peter bilis! 10 am na!” halos lumipad na nga kami.
Gumamit pa siya ng wang-wang.
Yeah police car ung gamit namin.
Para kaming nakikipaghabulan sa isang takas ng kulungan.
Then he stopped at front of the church. I went out of the car rushing. Peter followed.
In the altar
The bride with short hair and the groom is D. I’m sure buhok pa lang.
The priest speaks
“Kung sino man ang tumututol sa kasalang ito. Tumayo at Magsalita.”
With my hands shaking. Knees trembling. Sumigaw ako with tears on my eyes.
“D! D, I’m sorry. Please ako na lang. Ako na lang ulit. Hindi mo kasi ako pinakinggan last Saturday. Iwas about to tell you na hindi ko na maibabalik ang puso mo. Pero kaya kong palitan ng puso ko. Iyo na yun eh. D, Please.”
I know everyone was looking at me weirdly.
The bride was shocked.
D wasn’t facing me at all. Ayaw niya akong tignan.
Down on bended knees na ako.
“D, mahal kita!” sigaw ko ulit. Hoping that he would turn and we’ll run out of this church.
“I admit it now. Please come back to me. Papayag na akong ikasal sayo.” Sigaw ko with my crying churva.
Someone from the audience stand up.
