Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

You could feel your heart pounding hard and your breathing quickened like you just finished running a marathon. Everything in your vision was white; the tiles, the bed, the curtains, everything. No emotions. White was always an emotionless color.

You took a deep breath as you swung open the door to see J-hope hooked onto thousands of beeping machines as usual. But this time, the life support was gone. He notices you walking in. His face lightens up and he planted the biggest smile on his face. You tried as hard as you can to give him a warm smile but your vision was getting blurry due to the tears you've formed on your eyes. The beeping noises in the room calmed you down, since that was an indication of him still alive and here with me.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

You pulled a chair over to where J-hope's bed was and sat on it facing him. He immediately put both of his arms out with his hands and fingers opened. They were all wrapped in bandages and had tubes connected to him. You smiled widely and let your fingers slip into his. His hands were warm, he was very happy to see you.

"So, today's finally the day, huh?"

You wished he never said it. Parts of you wished it was a big joke. You kept wanting to come back here, Him still alive, breathing, smiling, living.

"Ma'am, We're very sorry, but were must take off the life support. It's for the best. It's better for him and the other around him. Please understand. We're very sorry for you loss."

You could feel a lump in your throat like something is stuck and your eyes start to tear up. He notices and squeezes your hands tightly. He lifts up your chin and looks at you. "Y/N, It's okay, don't cry.." He knew how you felt inside and tried to comfort you with a smile.

"how was your day?" J-hope had asked you.

Beep. Beep.

The beeps were slowing and that made you panic. You tried as hard as you can to keep a straight face but, he already knew. You knew what he was trying to do and he tried to calm you down. All you wanted to do was cup his face with both of your hands, look at him into his eyes and tell him everything would be alright, and you would be able to bring him back home.

"I couldn't s-" You choked while talking and coughed. You tried as hard as you could to not cry, but it didn't work. You could clearly see you face burning and slightly red. You looked up at him and gave him an awkward smile.

"I couldn't stop thinking about you, Hobi."

A wide smile ran across his face. His hands were still holding onto yours.

"Really? That's great, because I couldn't stop thinking about you either Y/N. I couldn't even sleep because you were running across my mind. Babe, I- I can't see very well, things are going black."

You tried to not cry to make him worry. You were squeezing his hand tightly. They started to become colder and colder as he spoke.

Beep... Beep..

Suddenly, something came to your mind.

"Hobi, remember the time, when we went to the beach together? We walked the whole length of it, collecting all those shells? And that time when you got me wet when you splashed water on me and i got mad? I don't think I told you how fun it was. It was the best day that I've experienced."

His grip loosens, head turned facing you while squinting his eyes.

"yeah, I remember. It was fun... I loved how it felt when the sun hit my skin..."

You realized he hasn't been out for such a long time and must of forgot how the sunlight felt like anymore after being stuck in here for almost 2 years.

"Babe?.." He said quietly, eyes  fighting  to open them. You peaked up to look at him.

"yeah?" You replied.

"Promise me, Promise me, you'll stay." His eyes gently closed and you were still grasping onto his hands. They were getting colder and colder by the minute.

"Always, I'll always stay Hobi."

His smile fainted and he let go of your hand.

He was gone.
