Ashton picked his tray. "You guys coming?"
"That's what she said." Eliza said under his breath.
We're not in 6th grade anymore Raven thought.
Raven softly punched him on the shoulder. "We'll be there in a second. You go on ahead." They said.
Ashton walked away.
Dumbass. Raven thought. He probably thinks I didn't see that stupid smile he gave that girl.
"Raven!" Eliza said.
"What."
"Why again are we staying here? I've got to get to class."
"Don't tell me you didn't see."
"See what?"
Raven rolled there eyes. "See that smile Ashton gave that girl."
"I told him he can't crush on any of those girls! He needs to back off. They'll mess up his self confidence."
"How much more can you mess it up?" Raven sighed. They didn't want Ashton to get hurt, but they also wanted him to be happy.
"Good point."
"I say he should go for it."
"Raven..."
"I know, I know. But he should at least try. He deserves this."
"Fine." Eliza picked up his tray and tried to get up.
Raven whacked him on the head.
"Ow!"
"Where do you think you're going?"
"To class!"
"We have to help Ashton!"
"How?"
"Follow me."
Raven snuck up on a girl that sat next to the girl with brown hair. They grabbed her and Eliza covered her mouth.
She gasped.
"Shhh." Raven said quietly. This will all go smoothly if you just answer my questions honestly. If you don't," Raven showed her a pair of scissors. "it'll be goodbye to your hair. Do you agree?"
The girl nodded her head.
"Good. Now, who was that girl you were sitting next to?"
Eliza uncovered her mouth. "Her name's Cassy. Well her friends call her Cassy, her real name is Casandra. Your friend, like, totally likes her. It's pathetic."
Eliza bitch slapped her. "Nobody talks about my friend like that."
"Sorry, but you know there's no chance that they'll get together. Cassy knows better then to date a freak. It's, like, totally weird to date a tranny."
Eliza slapped her again.
Raven inhaled. "He's not a 'tranny'. He's genderfluid."
The girl looked at Raven, confused.
"It means- oh, it's useless to try to teach you girls anything. But you won't tell Casandra anything about Ashton's gender. Or it's goodbye to your hair."
"Fine. Whatever. Can I go now?"
"Fine. Whatever." Raven mocked "But you also have to put a good word in for him."
"How?"
"I don't know. Just talk about how hot he is or something."
"Ugh. Whatever. What's his name again?"
These girls are so fucking dense Raven thought. "Ashton. His name is Ashton."
Eliza slapped her again. "Just for good measures."
The girl ran away, tripping on her heels.
"Let's go bitch." Raven told Eliza.
"Okay jerk."
Raven softly head butted Eliza's shoulder, which wasn't hard considering how short they were.
Together, they walked to class.
