Chapter 1: Glitch (NOT DCI)

Carter POV:
"Are you sure you're okay with me coming over?"
"Yeah it's fine! Either way mom would be pissed off if we didn't have 'sibling bonding time' in like what, a year or so?"
"Well okay then, I'll be there tomorrow take care Carter!"
"Yeah see you Connor!" I ended the call and put my phone next to me and I laid back on the couch. My twin brother would be staying with me and my friends for a few weeks because my mom said we don't have enough "bonding" time. Even though when we were kids we shared every moment and everything with each other.
Everything. 
Every single toy, photo, and even clothes we had to share as a child...
But thank god we don't have to do that anymore...
That's because I live out in LA for work while my brother stays in Oregon for studies and what not. And for some reason, the younger child gets to move away while the older one is back home.
(Parent logic at it's best everyone)
"Hey um Carter, can you stop being lazy for a moment and help me set up the Wii U?"
" Awww, but Jake its too far..."
"Carter, it's only three feet away."
"Exactly! But fine..." I then lazily got up to our tv and turned on the screen and our Wii U. Right now, the two of us and our friend Chris are going to be playing some Super Smash Bros. for our Youtube channel. Because we don't have anything else to do today.
I fired up the system and saw the home screen pop up on the tv. I then rummaged through stacks and stacks of games to find SSB (screw I'm using  abbreviation). I found the case near the bottom of one of our piles for some reason, and it was all dusty. "Hey Chris!" I yelled.  "Yeah what is it?"
"Have you been playing SSB lately?"
"No, why?"
"Just wondering..." I said as my voice was slowly turning into a whisper.
I stared at the dusty case in confusion, the last time I remembered we haven't played this game in almost a year, but this looks like it hasn't been played ever since the dinosaurs were around.
I shrugged off the thought and opened the case.
Just to be met with a smoke cloud, seriously, what happened to it?
I blew off the remaining dust from the game and inserted it into the console.
The game then appeared normally on the screen as it always would on the Wii U home screen. I then grabbed three controllers and sat down on the couch trying to connect them to the system.
As soon as all three were connected I then used the first controller to do what I need to do in order to get to the fighter select screen.
Lily POV:
"C'mon Lily you HAVE to play with us for at least one round!"
"I told you Jake, I won't play with you guys in this video, maybe the next one!"
"You've said that for the past three months..."
"And I'll keep saying it!" I walked passed Jake towards the couch in our recording area downstairs. I sat down next to Carter watching her set up the game.
I stole her phone and started scrolling through it and waited for the guys to be done with whatever they need to do. "Hey Lily," Carter said, "Hi Carter."
"Let me guess you're not playing again."
...
I swear this girl can read me like a book.
Without even looking at the book...
"You know I can't play as well as any of you."
"Yeah you can, stop lying, but if you insist," she said as she puts down her controller and lays her head on my shoulder. Her red and orange short hair covering her face and part of my shoulder. She looked over at her phone and snatched it from me just to turn it off. "You do know I know your passcode and plus I have touch id right?"
"Well I do too on your phone but I don't randomly scroll through your phone."
"Whatever," I lifted her head off my shoulder as soon as I saw the guys coming over to sit on my side of the couch signaling for me to go to the camera. They all got into frame as I positioned the camera and then I finally gave the cue to go.
Carter POV:
We all picked up our own controllers and did the intro. But before we even got to say 'hey' or 'hi' we saw our tv screen cracking. We all stared at it dumbfounded as the crack in the screen became bigger. I pressed every button on my controller, but nothing was happening. The crack eventually turned into a hole, and the hole eventually turned into a portal. We all started yelling at the sight before us.
We kept yelling until we were interrupted by screeching. We all covered our ears and yelled in pain. Lily raced over to us and sat next to me clearly not enjoying the sight enfolding right in front of us.
The screeching eventually stopped but was replaced right after with myself just feeling drowsy.
I eventually felt my eyelids growing heavy as my body slowly went limp. I tried to keep myself awake, but failed. I leaned back into the couch into a deep sleep not before hearing something along the lines of.
"Crazy, what is happening?"  "What did you do?"

HI ITS BEEN AWHILE
So I've finally came with another story, and dear god did this take longer than expected. I mean really, 900+ words?!
I have a problem...
Anyways, the OC's used in this story, Carter, Lily, Jake and Chris, will be roughly based off of OC's from Dancing Unites, just because I didn't really get to write about them...
Anyways, please tell me if you like this so far and yeah.
