Day three I guess. I woke up before her alarm went off and started writing. I've been writing something for us. She might not like it, or even listen, but it was worth the try. There has to be failure for there to be success, and I've had enough failure so far and I think it's about time for the success to come in. Hopefully. She ran out of her bed room, leaping over me. "Hey." I greeted. "Move." Was what she responded with.
I threw my hands up, "Okay." I said in surprise. Wonder what has got her in a hurry. "Goodmorning, how are ya?" I asked, but she only jumped over me again to get something from her room. "I.. I actually didn't sleep that much last night." I started saying as she threw on a long sleeve shirt over the tank top she was wearing. "But, uh, the good news is, uhm, I did a little brain storming, and uh, I think I came up with a.. a really good plan." I smiled up at her.
She stepped over me again as I continued to talk, "It's still a little sketchy in my mind right now but, uh, it's getting there, I'm still mapping it out and uh, adding the details." She still continued to hurry around, walked over me, completely ignoring my existence. "You should.. you should eat something, like a banana. So you could have enough potassium for the day." I trailed off as she was now pretty much all ready to leave. "But once I really nail down the specifics of it.. uh.. I think I'm gonna be able to take some really big steps."
She still ignores me and ran to the door, putting her shoes on as she walked. She grabbed a few things off the table and looked at me for a second before finally saying something. "Fine." She spoke, annoyance in her voice. She picked up the keys and walked out, locking the door behind her. I looked at the door and the table that sat by it. It had a glass of water on it and I was a bit thirsty. I started crawled on the floor to the table and sat on my knees.
I picked up the glass of water and looked at it, then smelt it. It seemed normal. I put the glass of water up to my lips and slowly lifted it up. I got a small sip and then put the glass of water back down. I wiped my mouth off with the back of my hand and skidded on my knees, since I was wearing pants, on the wooden floor back to wear I was sitting. I threw the tennis ball out of my way and picked up the journal and pen, working on the plan I had for us.
That's really all I did while she was gone. Scribbling down ideas and notes, the marking the bad ones out or ones that wouldn't work and would fail. I thought hard on it, wanting the plan to be fool proof. I wanted it to be perfect. I would write for about thirty to forty five minutes then move a bit down the hallway and sit back down against the wall. I was going up and down the hallway, I did about three times. When I reached where I was sitting originally, for the third time, I picked up the tennis ball and started rolling it in my hands.
When she got home I was laying on the floor, and I guess I fell asleep or something, because I was woken up by the door being roughly thrown open. She stepped over me, her high heels clicking on the floor. She stepped in her room, turning the light on. I groaned, and slowly sat up. She threw her heels off and went into the kitchen. As she did that I sat up against the wall, waking up. "Hey." I greeted sleepily. "I asked you to leave." She said, staring me down. "Right.." I said quietly.
"Ya, I know, uhm.." I took a deep breath before looking up at her, "You see the thing is.. if I leave.. I, uh.. I don't think I'll ever come back." She looked at me, the look saying, "Ya, that's the point," but what she really said was, "Get out." Which was pretty much the same thing to me. "How many people do you think would do this for you?" I asked, giving her the hint that I wasn't going to leave. "Really, how many people do you think would stay here.. just for you."
She bent down, looking at me. "Get out. Of my. Fucking. Apartment." She said, eyeing me down. I didn't move. I stayed sitting there. I couldn't leave. I just couldn't. I shook my head, "No." She grabbed my arm and started pulling me up, "Get out-" "No." "Of my-" "Stop it." "Fucking apartment." She threw me against the wall and I just stood there, against the wall, looking at her. "Get out!" She screamed. I grabbed her shoulders and pulled her to me quickly, her body right against mine.
I put my hand behind her head and kissed her, at first she resisted a little but then she started to kiss back, not trying to get away at all. She backed away after a bit and I walked up to her, putting my four head against hers, "Come here." I said softly, lifting her head up. I could see she was trying not to cry as she walked into her room, her eyes starting to tear up. I made her cry. Again. I tried to stand in the door way but she slammed the door in my face. Again, but at least this time she didn't throw a tennis ball at me.. right?
I later laid down on the floor, trying to fall asleep. I couldn't sleep. I had my eyes closed and my arms on my sides. I was laying on my back, the cold floor feeling good on my hot back. I heard the door creak open but I didn't open my eyes, not wanting to let her know I was awake, because it was obviously her. I heard her footsteps across the wooden floor and stop in front of me. I still didn't open my eyes and didn't move, wanting it to seem like I'm sleeping.
I heard the floor board creek beside me then something warm press up against my arm. She was laying beside me. I felt butterflies in my stomach like I always did when I came in contact with her. I tried my best not to smile and to look asleep. She just laid there for the longest time, and it made me feel the happiest I have in a long time. I felt her hand touch my face, her thumb rubbing against my cheek. I felt her take her hand away and lay still for a moment before getting up and leaving.
As I listened to her footsteps fading away, probably going into her room, my heart did this flippy type thing. Did she forgive me? Is she finally gonna start talking to me again? All of these hopes raised from nowhere as I slowly opened my eyes, a giant smile breaking out on my face. I was quite shocked that she did this, too, but I was happy none the less. Very happy.
