Simon's POV:
Needless to say, the morning after mine and Josh's... incident... was rather awkward. Jide kept winking at me, and I'm pretty sure Ethan heard us because he would nudge me whenever someone said something that sounded even remotely sexual. Josh couldn't even look me in the eye until after lunch. Still worth it, though.
I sit down on the bench in my cell as Josh re-dresses the wounds on my wrists. ''You were pretty loud last night,'' I say suddenly, a smirk playing across my face as I watch his confused look turn into an annoyed one. ''Shut up,'' he mutters as he tightens the bandage around my wrist. He's trying not to smile. ''Think of it as my goodbye present,'' I add, and his expression changes like that. ''You're not leaving. Tobi and I are working on it,'' he says quietly, stuffing the left over bandages into his pocket. ''You can't make them change their minds. This time next week I'll be in some other shitty asylum. Bet their staff aren't as pretty as you,'' I sigh once I'm certain no-one can hear. I don't know why I bother. Since everyone found out about me leaving, they seem to have gotten much less strict. Josh rolls his eyes at me, clearly trying not to grin. ''You're not going anywhere,'' he says sternly, and I shrug. ''I'll miss yoooou...'' I call as he locks my cell. ''Shush. I'm going to talk with Tobi. Try not to shoot anyone,'' he says, before disappearing down the corridor. I snicker quietly to myself, leaning back on the bench. I don't want to go.
I look up as I hear footsteps approaching my cell. It's almost time for the day staff to clock out and the night staff to clock in. I smile as Josh comes into view. He looks different. Angry. ''You okay?'' I ask, hopping off of the bench and walking to the front of my cell. I jump back as he swings a powerful kick into the metal bars. ''I'm great, thanks,'' he says sarcastically, but he smiles at me. I walk back to the bars and rest my forehead on them. ''What happened?'' I ask cautiously. Josh lets out a dry laugh. ''I spoke to Tobi. He said there's nothing he can do, and you're leaving in two days. So I spoke to his boss, the guy in charge of this whole place, and he got all pissy with me,'' he says, his voice laced with venom. I gesture for him to go on, and he does. ''So I punched him. And now my job is on the line, and I've blown any chance I had of stopping you from getting sent away.'' His smile falters, but he just shrugs. ''But that's all.'' I fold my arms. ''You're an idiot. Go home,'' I sigh, and he just snorts. ''Yes Sir,'' he says with a roll of his eyes, giving a slight salute. I stick my tongue out at him and he chuckles slightly before turning on his heel. ''Goodbye, my lover~'' he hums slightly, a smile tugging at his lips. ''Goodbye, my friend~'' I join in, trying not to giggle. ''You have been the one~'' Josh trails off as he heads down the hall, before disappearing from sight. It's weird how he can make even the worst situation seem okay. No. Not weird.
Amazing.
