Suspicion

Athenas pov.

As soon as I woke up I was dragged to this office. When I got there I saw Clarke already sat down talking to a old man.

"I'm gonna take a guess and say your Dante. Am I correct?" I asked with a bitter sweet smile. Dante just stared back at me then started to laugh.

Me and Clarke looked at each other in confusion before he spoke up.
"You really are how they say you are." He laughed out making me glare it him with hatred.

"What's that suppose to mean." I growled out in annoyance. All he did was shake his head and change the conversation.

"You see some of my people are still out there looking for survivors either from where use were and the ark. Up to now we have found nobody." He informed us, my eyes started to water at the thought at Bellamy and Finn and everyone else being dead.

"Are you sure? Maybe you haven't looked hard enough." Clarke rushed out in a panic stricken voice sharing my concern.

"Ye we know the ground better then you, so we can go out and help find them." I said with a determined voice, as soon as I said that his face hardened and his stare went ice cold.

"No nobody is allowed to leave, I'm sorry girls but I'm doing this for your own safety." He said staring at the both of us before standing up.

"You can't keep us locked up here, you said we were free to go when we want!" Clarke shouted not liking the idea of being trapped in the mountain.

Both me and Clarke stood up facing him.
"No what I've said is final you are not to leave." He snapped at us.

"And if we try to escape." I said in a deadly tone I didn't know I had. I saw him gulp before talking.

"Then me and you are going to have some serious problems." Was all he said before walking out the door leaving us to follow out after him.

"We need to get out of here i have a bad feeling about this place." I said to Clarke as we walked back to where we would be sleeping.

She pulled a map out of her bag and stared intensly at it.
"There's no exits." She murmured.

"What?" I asked confused pulling out my own map.

"There is not one single exit on this map." She muttered harshly. In that moment we both came to a realisation, they didn't want us to leave here at all.

"Okay so we need to figure out a plan of action." I started off as me, Clarke, Jasper and Monty were sat at a dining table. Jasper looked at us as if we were insane.

"Are you crazy. A plan of action for what? To escape? Why would we want to escape somewhere where we are safe and not around danger risking are life's every two seconds" Jasper spat out dropping his spoon on the table.

"Jasper everyone's out there Bellamy Finn, the Ark. We can't just abandon everyone and in case you haven't noticed we're prisoners here." I muttered harshly trying not to cause a scene in front of everyone.

"No we're not we're safer in here then out there Athena! They're trying to keep us safe not keep us as prisoners. And for all we know Bellamy is dead and so if Finn ." He spat shoving his chair and storming off to his room.

Looking as Jasper stormed off eyes wide it was the first time it had dawned on me on how he could be dead.

"What if he's right." Clarke whispered out not having the strength to find her voice. Clenching my jaw i whipped my head around in her direction.

"Bullshit! Clarke they are all alive okay Finn is alive, Bellamy is alive, Raven is, your mum is everyone is okay you just have to have faith." I said to her my voice strong and positive.

"He has to be alright." I muttered.

We all sat there in silence when an alarm went off. Standing up quickly me, Clarke and Monty looked at each other then ran towards where to commotion was coming from.

Running round the corner I asked the closest person what was going on.

"There's been a radiation leek on level 4 and some people were caught in it." He informed me. All of a sudden Jasper came running up to us.

"Maya! Maya was caught in the radiation!" He shouted out of breath and dragged Monty towards the medical room, me and Clarke silently following behind.

Walking into the medical area I saw Maya unconious with awful burn marks up her arms. Gasping we all stood around her not saying a word until Dante walked in with a solum face.

Looking up at him Jasper started bombarding him with questions.
"Is she going to be okay? How could you let this happen? How are you going to help her?" He asked him without taking a breath. Putting my hand on his shoulder I turned my attention also towards Dante.

"Yeah how are you going to help her?" I also questioned not focusing on Maya but the man a couple of beds down who was covered in radiation burnd. Assessing the man i walked closer to him when i noticed the tube sticking in his arm which was giving him blood.

Folowing the tube it disapeared into the wall, walking towards it i heard someone call my name.

"Athena!" Clarke shouted, snapping out of my transe i quickly walked back over to them seeing the doctors telling us to leave so Maya could rest as she hadn't been exposed to that much radiation as the other people.

A couple of hours later i was taking a walk to clear my mind with Clarke when a man turned the corner who looked awfully familiar, walking past us he gave us a smile. Then it came to me.

"Clarke oh my god Clarke that was the man!" I shouted out in suprise and panick.

"What man? Athena what man your making no sense?" She questioned not knowing what i was talking about.

"The man in medical with all the burns all the radiation burns on him! The man with the tube that disapeared within the wall!" I whisper shouted hoping she would get what i was going on about.

"Athena if your thinking what i'm thinking... how can that be possible." She whispered back looking round making sure no one was listening.

Looking at the camera making sure they couldn't see what i was about to see i leaned closer to Clarke.

"We need to get into the medical bay and find out whats happening here." I whispered with her already a plan forming in my head.
