Come with me

80 11 3

come on, come on, come with me

i'll show you places you have never before seen

we can play under the bright stars, in the dark midnight sky

by the river, past the village, where two hundred men have died

so comb your hair

and kiss your mother goodbye

for i swear to you my dearest friend

their is no turning back once we cross the other side

come on, come on, come with me

past the river towards the big old tree

where women have buried their infants, and cried their sorrows alive

where widows have brought their ropes, and hung themselves up high

come on, come on, come with me

my friend after this we will be truly free, so we can cast our shadows aside and let our largest tears slide, but were no more afraid, for we don't have to hide.

but now i must bid you goodbye

as my wrists are now slit wide

i clench my fists once more

and let go of all too many lies.

don't fear my friend we shall meet again, but for now i'll close my eyes.
