"Honey, I don't know what you showed her, but I know how she felt. She was scared, all girls get like that when a boy who hasn't been so nice to them has finally revealed everything. " my mom said as we sat in my room with me trying not to break down. I thought this would work, I thought girls liked being told the truth. I sighed and shook my head pulling at my hair. I nodded at my mom not really wanting to talk right now, what I needed was time to myself and a drink to swallow my pain in. I told her I was going for a drive and that I would be back soon, and then I headed off to god knows where. After driving for a few minutes I decided to head over to my best friend Christian's house. I decided to call him so he knew I was on my way.
"What?" he said after picking up on the second ring
"Im on my way, be prepared to fucking listen to my problem." he sighed in a joking manner but agreed and said he already had what I needed. I laughed and thanked him and hung up so I could focus on driving, about five minutes later I was at his front door knocking for what seemed like five years.
"Chill the fuck out, I'm coming."
"Thank god, look man I wanted to talk to you-"
"Hi Mason..." the girl who has just literally crushed me said. I looked at Chris and then back at her.
"If this is what you meant when you said this is just what I needed you were wrong." I clenched my jaw and just avoided eye contact with her.
"I, um wanted to tell you something, I'll make it quick I promise." I didn't look at her but I sighed and I'm pretty sure she knew that meant she could continue.
"Instead of running out earlier what I really wanted to say was take my hand, and give me a god damn reason to start over with you." those last few words made my head snap up in surprise. She wants me too?! OH MY GOD FINALLY I'M NOT A SCREW-UP!! I started smiling and she did too, and then to make it better I walked towards her slowly, and just embraced her into a huge hug
