~cam~"Hey! Camila, you have to go back to the copy machine and fix it, it's jammed again." my boss said while I just sat there rolling my eyes. That's the fourth time this week, why can't he just get a new one. Don't get me wrong I love the guy but sometimes I wonder how he's managed to get this far in life without always having to get help. As I started to fix it the lobby's bell started to ring and I groaned.
"Just a minute," I yell loud enough so the person who had come in could hear. I heard a chuckle and just finished up un-jamming the copy machine. I wiped my hands on my shirt then looked up to see Mason at the desk smiling at me. I smiled and rolled my eyes and laughed slightly.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to see my favorite person, is that illegal?"
"No, but I am busy working." I sighed hoping I could get done early and spend time relaxing or hanging out with friends. I guess he noticed my frown and decided to question me.
"Hey, you ok?"
"Yeah, just wish I could not work all the time. I have never taken a day off, I'm always here and I am always the one doing everything. It's just not fair." I said going on a rant. He sat there listening to me, then abruptly got up, and looked around.
"Ah excuse me, sir? Ya hi, are you Camila's manager?" my manager was looking at him like he was insane, which he was. I gave him a wide-eyed look and told him to shut up, but does he listen to me? No.
"Yes, and you are?"
"I am her boyfriend, and it's clear to see that everyone else you have "working" for you are people who aren't working at all. Now coming from me, Mason-"
"Oh Mister Smith, I am so sorry I had no idea, I was just about to get on them about not working."
"No, you weren't now if you excuse us, Miss Reynolds won't be coming back. Ever. Good day." I looked at him shocked, while he grabbed my things and started pulling me out of the office.
"MASON WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL DID YOU JUST DO?!"
"I did you a favor."
"THAT WAS MY JOB, YOU MADE ME QUIT MY JOB THAT PAYS FOR MY BILLS, SO THANKS, SHITHEAD," I yelled storming towards my car. I can not believe he just did that. As I got into my car it started to rain a bit and I just sighed. Could this day get any worse? Wait it probably can.
As I walked into my apartment I had kicked off my shoes and threw my purse down onto the floor. He is an inconsiderate piece of crap. Just because he doesn't have to work doesn't mean he can ruin other people's jobs. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on my door. Who could be here?! As the knocking got louder by the second it made my headache worse.
"I'm coming!" I yelled and just held my head in agony. I yank the door open and saw a note on the ground. What the heck? Who the heck leaves a note at a strangers door. I guess there's only one way to find out who sent it. I picked it up and started reading it."Dear Cam,
I am sorry for what I've done. I know this is nothing compared to what I have done to you but there's more I promise. Come out to the front of your apartment building because there's a sweet surprise waiting for you.
sincerely,
m.s"
He didn't? Has he? What is this buffoon planning? I sighed and walked back into my apartment grabbed some shoes and a small jacket. I started walking to the elevator and started to smile. I hope he really makes up for what he's done I have to get another job because of him.
