Gasps were heard and when he opened his eyes he saw where the arrow went. Fiona's eyes were wide in shock and the apple was behind her head, hanging upsidedown from where the arrow pierced through it, from the bottom.
"He almost killed her!" A lost boy whisper shouted.
Peter immediately set the crossbow down, but his eyes never left hers. A moment of silence passed before she took a deep breath.
"Boys, I think it's time to have a hunt..." She said, trying to control the shakiness in her voice.
The lost boys went to grab their weapons again and Peter did the same, getting his off from the ground.

"What happened back there, Peter?" Devin asked as they began to walk into the woods.
"I-I don't know... I was nervous..." He was still quite shocked he didn't get her by accident. Maybe he was lucky.
"You should have seen the look on her face when you pulled the trigger! She seemed scared!"
"Did she?"
Devin nodded.
"Wait." Peter held his arm out to stop the boy from going any further for a deer was seen in front of them.
"Are you going to shoot it?" The lost boy asked.
Peter smirked to himself for he forgot how it was like to hunt, "Yes, of course I am..."
The deer was eating grass, not knowing of the boys' presence. The taller boy with precise aim was pointing his crosshairs towards the deer's head,
"Now, the question is, head," He lowered it a little, "chest," He then let it settle exactly in the centre, "or heart..." He looked over at Devin, waiting for the answer.
"Uh... Hmm.." The lost boy studied the deer who still ate, "Heart."
With his right eyebrow arched, he refocused his aim and was ready to shoot. He took a deep, calm breath and squeezed the trigger, soon having an arrow pierce through the poor deer. It now laid dead.
"Wow... That was a perfect shot!" Devin exclaimed as he headed over to Peter's hunting prize. Peter went over as well.
"Thank you." He chuckled softly and took the arrow out. He then picked up the hind legs while Devin got the front. If he still had his magic he would have just teleported the deer. But he didn't. They began to walk back to the camp where some lost boys were dropping off their hunting prizes as well.
"Do you still love Fiona?"
Peter's euphoric mood darkened a bit. He wasn't sure how to answer that.. No answer was certain. He loved her, yes, but it was a love he didn't want and couldn't shake. He still had an aching pain he felt with his mortal heart.
"Peter?"
Devin snapped the truly lost boy out of his thoughts.
"I.. I don't know, Devin...."
"Oh..."
They went back out to the woods to continue hunting. Peter was still thinking about the question even though he had already answered it. Did he still love her? That was a complicated question... Love was difficult to define...
