Today was already off to a bad start.

Now, it's off to a really bad start.

I mean, if you're trapped in an alley way with freakish monster looking things threatening to kill you, I think many will agree, it's a really, really bad start.

Wasn't my fault, though, the fat one at the center started it.

As they closed in on me, I noticed that green slime was leaking off of their bodies, I almost gaged at the sight.

"So, demigod, any last words?" hissed one of the snake people, not sure which one, I'm not known for paying attention.

However, I did notice the smell coming off of them. That I did gag at, they didn't like that much.

"Well, I mean, if we're gonna go all cliché..." Obviously angry at the response, they suddenly rushed at me. Screaming, I did the only sane thing I could do, run to the furtherest accessible wall and try to climb it. Seeming to come out of thin air, we were bombarded by folks with swords, screaming and slashing, all yelling at me to run. Which I do, mentally. However, my legs had other plans. Like staying right where I was. Brilliant, really.

The snake people scream and cry murder, all saying they'll come back and murder their families. Which is harsh, if I'm honest.

Then they explode into golden dust. Which is very harsh.

"Percy, I think that's the last of them!" yelled a pretty blonde girl, who had a sword. Who in the hell carries a sword?!

The boy, Percy I'm assuming, snaps something akin to 'I'm aware of that.' Could be wrong, I usually am.

Seeming to finally notice me, the boy, Percy, which holy good hell is he hot, and the blonde turn to me. Suddenly concerned about my well being.

"Are you alright?" Percy asks. I nod my head. "Do you know what this is?" he raises his sword.

"A sword..."

"Oh, good. A another demigod," the blonde said looking pleased, if her smile was anything to go by.

"Annabeth, we should probably leave, Leo said he saw more a few blocks away."

My heart stopped.

"There's more! I didn't do anything! I swear on baby Jesus!"

The kids with swords looked at me funny. Like I said something weird. What the hell did I say that was weirder than them carrying swords?!

"What?! You crazy people carry swords!"

"Point taken." Annabeth said, her grey eyes narrowing, "What's your name?"

"Emily. Emily Adams."

"Well, Emily, you're a demigod." Percy smiles, which was really blinding, and also cute when I notice a dimple. Damn, I'm noticing a lot of things today, go me!

"So I've been told, what the hell does that mean?"

Annabeth rolls her eyes saying, "It means your dad or mom is a god."

I felt my eyes widen, "Well, shit."
