One new line
Slowly fading away
But the smile on her face
Starts to turn grey
Two new lines
Both well hidden
Her parents begin to fight
She thinks she's a burden
Three new lines
All for some reason
She wears long sleeves
Even though they're out of season
Four new lines
All of them deep
Her friends start to leave her
Every night now she weeps
Five new lines
She thinks this is the end
So she says goodbye
To her last friend
Six new lines
She takes a deep breath
Her friend tries to stop her
From causing her own death
All of the lines
Slowly fading away
Until the day
When her smile turns grey
A/N
I wrote this poem about relapse... I believe this might be one of my saddest poems I've written. This actually has a different ending, but I could not bring myself to write out what I had written originally. I can always post the alternate ending, if anyone would like to see it, because the original is almost always more likely to happen.

PoetryThese are poems that I write only when I'm in a certain mood. Most of these poems aren't the go lucky and happy kind. They're mainly sort of depressing and hurt filled.
