Amelia went to the row farthest away from the closest student and began to write in her notebook the thoughts that consumed her ever-flowing mind. Her books were her only friends. She learned to love the characters, to understand them. She realized the character's struggles and downfalls, and this only made her love reading more. Even more than reading, she loved to write. She created words by pen not mouth, and they were and still are the most beautiful words I've ever read.
Many rows ahead of Amelia sat the most popular guy in the entire school of Ashton High, Andrew Pace. Andrew was the guy every girl left their boyfriends for, and he had a new girl every week, worshipping him and always by his side like a loyal lap dog. Hell, even some of the teachers had a crush on him. His face was perfectly aligned, according to all the girls, and you could tell merely by the way his lips were set that he kissed an abundance of girls. He wore his letterman's jacket on a daily basis, and he drove a cherry red corvette. At this moment in time, his best friend Josh was telling him how it's unfair Andrew gets everything he wants.
'I'm not necessarily saying it's your fault, but it's unfair how you get all the girls. I just wish that sometimes they would go for someone more like me. I swear you could get a supermodel if you really tried," Josh stated as he dropped his bag into a chair and sat down.
A freshman by the name of Clay was listening, and he decided to butt into the conversation, "If you really think that you could get any girl, I have a challenge for you. Rows behind us is a girl named Amelia, and I've heard she never speaks at all. If you can get her, I can believe that you could get any girl."
Andrew glanced back, and he saw Amelia swiftly writing in her notebook, a strand of her hair covering her eye. He noticed how peaceful she looked, and when she looked up for a moment, he saw her eyes. He instantly became entranced for a moment, and decided to agree. He had too much pride and reputation to say no. He nodded his head, Josh rolled his eyes, and the freshman looked honestly shocked. Andrew laid his bag down and sat by Amelia.Amelia was too concentrated on her writing to realize someone had sat next to her, so when she finished her paragraph, she jumped when she noticed a hand on the armrest next to her. Andrew laughed at this reaction, and Amelia looked at him with a deadly look. She was already laughed at in her last class, and she didn't feel like being disrupted and laughed at again. Andrew put his hand out for her to shake, and she only stared at it before returning to her writing.
"What are you writing?" Andrew said with his signature crooked smile that even Amelia came to love.
She stared at him for a long time, trying to ponder why he was even talking to her in the first place before she decided just to move. She gathered her things and left Andrew watching her leave. He sighed and looked down to see both Josh and the freshman's eyes on him, and in that moment he promised himself that he would make her fall hard for him.
