Icy was strolling around, pausing occasionally to trip some clueless little kid or snatch their ice cream, and generally having a good time. Why ice cream? Well, she just loved ice cream. Especially vanilla, blueberry, or vanilla-blueberry swirl.
Icy got home and went into her room to change into some more comfortable clothes when she noticed a black envelope lined with gold, sealed with the crest of the School for Good and Evil in gold-wax. She excitedly tore it open to find a letter inviting her to the School for Evil! She ran to her sisters' rooms to brag when she ran right into Darcy.
"Where are you going in such a hurry?" Icy demanded.
"Icy! You won't believe this! I got a letter from School Master inviting me to the School for Evil!" she explained.
"What? But I did too!" Icy exclaimed. Only two people from each kingdom get chosen to attend the School for Good and Evil every four years, and in a mixed kingdom like Wysteria, one attends the School for Good and the other attends the School for Evil. As she was pondering this, Stormy, the youngest of the three, came running down the hall, waving a gold-lined black envelope identical to the ones Icy and Darcy were holding.
"Icy! Darcy! You won't believe this! I actually got invited to the School for Evil! What are you guys gawking about?" she asked when she saw Icy and Darcy's expression.
"But Darcy and I also got invited!" Icy protested.
"What?!" Stormy shrieked
"I know! Crazy, right?" Darcy said, looking at her purple fingernails.
"Weird. Let's go tell Mom and Dad." Icy decided.

The next morning, Icy packed some accessories and shoes, knowing that she'd have to wear a uniform all day anyway. She also put in some pajamas in case they were lenient enough to allow personal pajamas. She put on an old, dirty, worn-out shirt, a pair of black leggings with lots of holes, and old, worn-out sneakers. She knew she would have to swim across a dirty, smelly moat full of who-knows-what, and she had no intention of ruining her best articles of clothing. Darcy and Stormy had the same idea.
"Ready, sisters?" Icy asked them.
"Ready," they replied in unison. Together, they walked to the Wysteria Flowerground station, where they showed the animals their letters. Blue branches whisked them up into the air, and soon, they were dangling from harnesses made of blue tree branches, high above the Flowerground where Evers got to sit in comfort.
After what seemed like hours but probably was just twenty minutes, Icy, Darcy, and Stormy were all flung into a disgusting moat. Here, some Nevers hadn't considered the moat realized that they probably shouldn't have worn several layers or their finest clothing. The three sisters swam vigorously to the other side, beating those with heavy clothing or several layers, which dragged them down.
The castle itself was beautiful, in a dark way. It glittered like obsidian, and the towers gleamed purple and green. Malice, Cruelty, Vice, and Mischief. Malice and Cruelty were dark purple while Vice and Mischief were lime-green. Malice and Vice were for girls while Cruelty and Mischief were for boys. The gates were tall and golden, with the words "The School for Evil Edification and Propagation of Sin" on it.
Icy, Darcy, and Stormy walked in with an aura of power, and the other students backed away, making a clear path for them. The great black doors opened, and the three girls walked in unchallenged.
The gleaming black walls of the hallway displayed portraits of previous students, barely lit with the dim purple glow of an occasional torch. At the end of the hallway was a large, open room. Its black walls were brightly lit by huge windows that let in the sun. Above those windows were stained-glass scenes of Nevermores and the occasional Never After, splashing color onto the otherwise dark and somber room. There were four glass staircases, two purple, two green. Above each one was a golden letter, so that the letters spelled "EVIL".
