I curl my hair and brush my teeth I walk downstairs getting my bag "Maya get your ass here now" my stepdad Steve yells and I put my bag down and walk into the kitchen
"Where are you going" he asks and chops an onion loud making me jump
"S-School" I stutter and he walks over to me
"Whatever clean this mess before you go" he says and I look at him confused
"What mess" I ask and he drops the bowl full of food everywhere and walks away laughing I quickly clean up and wash my hands then I get my bag and run outside where Sam and Holly are waiting in Sam's car I smile and jump in the front
"Why do you smell of onions garlic and tomato" Sam asks sniffing my hands
"Steve dropped the bowl and told me to clean up the mess" I explain and she gives me a sympathetic smile and hugs me
"Why don't you just move in with us" she asks I shrug and she starts the car
"I don't know but can I stay at your place tonight" I ask and she nods
"Of course you still got the key right" she asks and I pull the key out of my bag on a key chain they got me for Christmas
"Always" we all say and Sam pulls up next to a motorbike
"Ugh Bad boys" I groan getting out of the car and walking into the school
