"Happy birthday mommy" Hope and Nathan yell running into my room as Lucas is sleeping into my side

"Hey" I say and they sit beside me

"I made you this" Hope says handing me a small box

"Thank you princess. How about you both wake up daddy and we'll go downstairs" I say and they both jump on Lucas

"Wakey wakey" Nathan yells slapping Lucas' cheeks

"I'm coming to get you" Lucas yells playfully and they scream running out of the room and he pins me down in the bed

"Lucas we can't the kids are awake" I say as he begins to kiss my neck

"It's fine they'll probably think I'm pretending to be a monster and am eating you alive" he says and lowers my shirt and sucks on my nipples

"Lucas" I moan and run my fingers through his hair and he bites it making me scream in pleasure I quickly cover my mouth and hear footsteps

"What's wrong" Hope says her and Nathan running in

"Nothing I'm fine how about you both go and play on mommy's phone in your room" I say and Lucas continues to suck my boob

"Yay" the both yell

"What's daddy doing" Nathan asks and I feel Lucas bite down again

"He's ugh" I moan and Lucas lifts his head up again

"I'm a monster and I'm gonna eat mommy so run" he says deeply and they run out giggling

"Lucas your so stupid" I say hitting his chest and he kisses me moving down and lifts my shirt off
"Lucas we can't" I say and flip us over

"But babe" he whines playing with my hair

"I'll ask Jack if he'll watch them tonight" I say and get up throwing on Lucas' shirt and walk to Nathan's and Hopes room and sit down doing Hopes hair.

She looks up at me with her big blue eyes and stands up

"Mommy" she asks and crosses her arms

"Yes" I say and copy her movements making her laugh

"Daddy wasn't really hurting you right" she asks and I hug her

"No he was just being silly" I reply and she nods

"If he was then we'd throw him out" Nathan adds and Lucas walks in

"Hide" Hope yells and they both run under the bed

"What's this I heard about throwing me out" he asks and wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my shoulder

"Hope thought you was actually hurting me, Nathan then said if you was hurting me then they would throw you out" I explain and he laughs
"How about I make pancakes" I ask them and they nod

Hope takes my hand and we walk down stairs
"Mommy I know it's your birthday but can my friend Paige come over" she asks and I nod

"Of course she can. You know she's always welcome" I tell her and she runs out of the room and to the house phone

"Mommy, Daddy is being mean" Nathan yells running down and hugging my legs

"What's daddy doing" I ask him and Lucas comes down with a Halloween mask on

He starts chasing Nathan around the house and I continue to make the pancakes

I see Hope walk in with her friend Paige
"Paige would you like some pancakes" I ask and she shakes her head looking down

"Agh" Nathan screams and runs in
"Mommy tell daddy" he yells and Lucas lifts him up tickling him

"Lucas, leave Nathan alone" I tell him and he pokes his tongue out at me

"Mommy" Hope says pulling my hand

I look down at her and she looks at Paige

I look and Paige is shaking and crying
"Paige" I say and she flinches

I go to her and lift her up
She starts crying harder
"No I'm sorry" she says and tries getting away and I start walking away from them

"Give me a few minutes alone with her" I tell them and Lucas nods

"Are you sure" he asks and I nod

I walk upstairs and into the spare room
"Please don't hurt me" she whimpers and I place her on the bed

"Paige I'm not going to hurt you okay" I tell her and she cries
"Who's hurting you" I ask her and she looks at me

"I'm not allowed to say" she tells me and I sigh

"You know when I was your age my mommy used to hurt me and married a man. He used to hurt me a lot too. I was too scared to tell anyone. One day me and Hopes Dad got stuck in the house and he did nasty things to us. My grandma found out and now they're both locked away and can't hurt me anymore" I explain to her as a few tears escape my eyes

"Mommy and daddy" she says and I wrap my arms around her

"Can you show me" I ask and she pulls the jacket closer to her
"How about if I show you something my mommy done to me" I ask and she nods slightly

I get up and lift Lucas' shirt up a bit and she touches the big scar on my side from where my mom stabbed me when I was eight

She gets up and takes her jacket off
I look at her arms seeing bruises of different colors going up them and cuts everywhere

She hugs me crying and I wrap my arms around her
"You're staying with us" I tell her and lift her up on my hip

She nods wrapping her arms around me and I walk downstairs
"Hope, can you look after Paige while me and daddy talk. Nathan you can go with them" I tell them and Paige goes with them into the living room

Lucas follows me into the kitchen and looks confused
"Paige's parents are beating her" I tell him and he takes my hand

"She'll Be Okay. We'll go call the police" he tells me and takes a phone

I wrap my arms around him letting a few tears leave my eyes
"She's so young" I say and he nods

"I know but we'll take care of her" he says and kisses my forehead.
