SATURDAY I sat down at the dinning room table with my headphones plugged into my computer, working on an essay due on Monday. I would see Emily walk in and out of the kitchen doing little chores here and there, we both were waiting for Sam, Paul and Embry to finish patrol, I was allowed to stay home since I insisted on finishing the project. Soon though, I heard a group of loud noises that consisted of yells, laughter, and feet pour into the house. I took out my headphones and saved my work, then closed my laptop. "Everything go good?" I asked them all, not anyone in particular. "Yeah, there wasn't any sign of vampires on our side but we could tell they were getting close." Sam responded. "We gotta go get Jacob, your coming with." Paul didn't really give me an option. "Okay thanks for asking." I say sarcastically, we both laugh and start heading out. We say our goodbyes to Emily and begin to walk to his house. Once we exit the woods and enter Jake's backyard, Paula and Jared let hoots and hollers escape their mouths, I shake my head and laugh to myself. We expected to see Jake exit his house but instead, we saw Bella Swan. I never met her, but knew all about her from Jake's stories. She was three years older than me and was dating Edward Cullin; Jake was in love with her and never seemed to stop talking about her. Me and Paul were never big fans of the idea of her, she was close with the vampires and we didn't want anything to do with them. She stormed over to us, "What did you do! What did you do to him!" She pushed Sam's chest and all of us get protective and get closer to Bella, getting ready to attack at any minute. I try to charge her but Paul puts his arm in front me holding me back, I calm down a bit. Sam looks at all of us, "Hey, easy!" Sam tells all of us, and she continues. "He didn't want this!" Paul begins to heat up, "What did we do?? What did he do, what did he tell you!" He begins to get furious and I now take my turn in holding his arm back. "Paul calm down!" I yell at him, it does nothing, then Sam tries to intervene. "Both of you, calm down!" "Nothing! He tells me nothing cause he's scared of you!" Jared and Paul begin laughing at her comment, and that's when it all goes downhill. Bella turns angry and she slaps Paul across the face, immediately regretting her decision. "Too late now." Jared laughs while saying and I slap his arm for making a joke out of this. "Bella get back!" Sam yells out to her as she slowly steps away. "Paul look at me! Paul calm down!" I yell at him trying to get him to stop but it doesn't work. Before I even know it, Paul jumps towards Bella and gets ready to attack her. I look down shaking my head in disapproval, I knew nothing would happen to her but the fact that he lashed out makes me upset. Bella begins to run away scared for her life, when Jake emerges out of his house running full speed at Paul. "Jake run!" Bella calls out, but he jumps over her and shifts. Paul and Jake begin attacking each other with their fangs clawing at each others necks. They tumble into the forest and disappear. I let out a deep sigh and turn to Sam who has the same disappointed look. "Take Bella to Emily's." We all nod our heads and walk over to Bella, she willingly gets up and we walk to her truck to take her to the house.
