TUESDAY
School was torture, but somehow I made it through. I walked into the kitchen and was sad when I heard no other voices. Sam and Paul were on patrol, the rest of the boys were home, and Emily was out with a friend. I am so used to hearing loud shouts and laughter that it's upsetting when that's not around. I decided to head to beach, so I grabbed a blanket and my headphone and started to walk.
Once I reached the sand, I laid out the blanket and sat down with my legs flat out in front of me. I put my headphones in and began to relax. They sky as always, was grey and clouded but I didn't mind. The teal waves crashed against the shore and swayed softly; this was one of the most peaceful things in earth to me. I don't even know how long I was out there for, but it didn't matter, if anyone was actually concerned they would know where to go. All was going well until I felt two hands touch my shoulder and give me a shake. I let out a loud scream and turned around quickly to see Paul behind me, laughing hysterically. I punched his leg with my fist and started to yell at him.
"Are you insane?!? You could have given me a heart attack?!?" I felt my heart thumping rapidly.
"Nah your just overreacting." He teased and I let out a light laugh shaking my head. He sat down next to me and sat with his knees up, holding them with his arms. We looked out at the ocean for a while until he turned to look at me.
"You know I love you right." I turned to face him and smiled.
"Yeah, I know." He leaned down and kissed me. This wasn't the first time, nor the last. It wasn't anything special, no sparks or fireworks; but it meant something more than that. We usually joked when it came to the whole "I love you" thing; but this was different. We just sat there looking at each other.
"I love you too." I said in almost a whisper, but with confidence. We turned back to the water and watched, as the waves continued to crash against the shore.
We walked a while to get back to the the house only to have to be sent back out again. Sam had sent us over to bring Jake back to Emily's. I rolled my eyes in annoyance but agreed. We shifted and began to race to Jacob's, getting there in less than 2 minutes. We formed back and started walking up to hit front door. Paul was about to just walk in but I put my hand in front of him.
"Knock you dummy." He rolled his eyes and backed up a step. I knocked until I saw Billy approaching us, then I opened the door and entered.
"Hey Billy, good to see you!" I said cheerily with a smile on my face.
"Same to you, how've you been?"
"Doing great, thanks." We were about to walk into Jake's room but Billy stopped us.
"Jake's not in his room, he's out in the garage with Bella." I felt my chest tighten and I looked to Paul and saw the same expression, only more tense. I thanked him and proceeded out the door. We walked to the barn and just before we entered I placed my hand on Paul's chest.
"Remember to stay calm, just let me do the talking." He stayed almost perfectly still with a stern look, until he gave the slightest nod. It was hard to trust her, since she had clung herself to the cullins. We walked in and they were having a deep conversation by the looks of it until we walked in.
"Jake, Sam needs you, we gotta go." I said sternly, trying to get the message across the first time, hoping there would be no trouble. Jake looked from us to Bella and gave her a sympathetic look. She seemed annoyed and slightly confused at the complete obedience we had towards Sam, so she got up and walked out.
"You couldn't have waited another minute?" Jacob says, clearly ticked off.
"Sorry bud, lets go." We all begin walking out and then start running; we then shift and take off. Side by side, we rush into the dark green woods and disappear.
