Chapter 11 : Awakening

Brief little intro here , been busy and I'm going to try a new style of writing because I have gotten some tips and tricks, I hope you enjoy this new chapter!

As I was unconscious for what seemed like ages, I was floating through the darkness in my mind and I was thinking about how to react when Touka sees me waking up. I start to move my hand and I can feel every single fiber and molecule in my hand it was like accessing a computer of unlimited information. I could hear a voice as I was floating around and I wanted to respond, but I couldn't.

"Kaneki, please wake up" It was Touka's voice calling out to me. I wanted to hug her and tell her that everything would be okay and that I'm fine but I couldn't talk or even move at that. I willed myself to wake up, that was enough of being alone. Someone was waiting for me and I am going to come back to them.

As I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was a blinding light coming from a window. I guessed it was morning and my eyes adjusted to the blinding light of the sun. I looked around and what I saw was a very familiar sight. I was in Touka's room, it was neat and tidy like always and I looked down and I was all bandaged and cleaned up in a change of clothes. I looked to the right side of the bed and there I saw her. Touka, she was sleeping, resting her head on the bed and she looked like she has been there for a while. Food wrappers were to the brim of the trash and water bottles were neatly placed by the trash, separating the recyclables and trash. I smiled to myself to how kind and nice she was to me. She rubbed her eyes and lifted up her head and looked straight into my eyes and gasped.

"Kaneki!" She smiled and hugged me and kissed my cheek and I feel her tears going down my cheek. "I didn't think you would wake up, you've been out for 3 weeks and I was so worried." I let out a little 'argh' and she released me from her death grip and I feel my chest breathing in air.

"I've been out for 3 weeks?" I look down and I think to myself, 'It felt like I was out for a few days not weeks' I look back at her and think about Ayato. "Where's Ayato? Is he here?" I look at her and she rubs her head.

"I took him to the hospital so you two couldn't see each other and I took care of you here." She smiled at me and laughed nervously. "Are you feeling any pain or anything of that sort?" She looks at me with concern in her eyes and grabs my hand.

I smile at her and with my other hand I hold her cheek and kiss her on the lips. "I'm okay my love, thank you." I smile kindly and a hint of red spreads across her face.

"Of course, I'd do anything for you." She kisses me again and smiles at me.
"You bandaged me up?" I looked at her and she nodded with a little hint of pride in her eyes. "I've been going to Medical School to become a doctor so I can help people" She smiles at me and I smile back at her and I remember when I used to be in school. I love books and can remember most things by memory but I wish I spent more time working on my education but I'm happy that she is going to school.

"Wait how long have you been here?" I ask her and await for my answer.

"About the time when you fell unconscious. Why?" She looks at me and tilts her head and I gasp.

"You've missed school for 3 weeks?!?!" I face palm myself and I can hear her laughing and I look at her through my hand.

"No silly, I asked for a 3 week advance in homework and I finished it a week ago, so I didn't miss any school." She smiles and me and I sigh in relief.

"Okay good because I thought you didn't do anything except take care of me." I smile nervously and rub my head. She laughs again and a grin spreads across her face.

"You think I'd spend all my time on you?" She grins at me and crosses her arms.

I grin back at her, "Oh really you wouldn't?" She flips her hair and turns around.

"Pfft, never only in your dreams." She laughs and I get up from my bed and start to tickle her, she laughs and smiles and she tells me to stop but I keep on going.

"Stop! I'm going to pee!!" She says in between laughs and I release her from my grasp and I hug her. She sits on my lap and looks in my eyes. "You know I would" She says with a kind and soothing voice.

"I know you would baby" I smile at her and kiss her she kisses me back and wraps her arms around my neck and scoots closer to me. I hold her hips and kiss her neck and she breathes into my ear and lets out a slight moan and I grin. She looks lifts up my head and kisses my lips and bites my lip. "Later baby" She grins at me and I pout. "I guess you don't want any food?" Her eyebrow raises and as I start to speak my stomach grumbles and we both start to laugh and I nod. "Good now get ready, I bought you some clothes" She gets off me and kisses my lips once more and goes to the bathroom to get ready. I lift my legs off the bed and try to stand and catch myself. I start to move my legs and I feel how they feel and I start to stretch. I look around for the clothes and see them in my field of vision and walk towards them. A short sleeve shirt with some ripped jeans and some checkered vans and a windbreaker. Just what I like, I grin to myself and start to get ready. She walks out and is wearing casual clothes, some jeans with a short sleeve shirt and a cardigan with the same checkered vans. "So we can match" She blushes and smiles at me. I smile back and finish dressing and we walk out her door and drive to our destination.
