Carnival

I was walking down the streets of Brooklyn, hand in hand with Joji. I spotted a poster on this tree that said: Go To The Carnival Tonight! Open from 12:00p.m. To 8:00p.m.! Have Fun! "Joji look!" I said as I pointed to the poster. He caught my attention and read the poster. "Oh nice! Wanna go there later on at 5:00 tonight?" He asked letting go of my hand. "Sounds like a plan!"
An hour later we went back home. "Well sadly they don't have a pair of jeans my size" I said sighing sitting in the couch. "That cause you thicc" I heard Joji say. I cringed and chuckled. He chucked also. "Gosh really?" I said looking at him. "Yeah" he put down his bags of clothes in the living room. "It's 2:30... Wanna eat some lunch?" He asked walking to the kitchen. "Yah" I got up and walked to the kitchen with him. "Fried rice?" I suggested. "Funny... I was actually gonna make that" he got out some rice and a pan along with some vegetables and sauce. 5 minutes later the food was done and we are. We literally didn't talk at all because his rice was really good. "That was really good!" I complimented as I put my finished plate in the sink. Joji blushed. "I get that a lot" he smirked. I rolled my eyes and kissed him. He blushed a bit more putting his finished plate in the sink as well. "I love you! I don't know what I would do without you... why did we break up?" A tear feel from my eye. "
"Because I cheated on you and I was drunk... But to be honest I think I love you more than you love me" he walked to go sit on the couch. Nah... "Can we please forget about that moment" he said in a serious tone. "Sorry..." I was embarrassed. Probably shouldn't have mentioned that... "Your my Dræm Girl." He said getting up to kiss me. I kissed back. I chuckled. "Why wouldn't I be?" "Wanna dance?" I asked him. "Why not?" He asked. He got his phone and put on the song Dræm Girl.

A few hours later at 5:01
"Hey we should leave to the Carnival" I mentioned looking at my watch. "Hold on I have to search up where it is" he grabbed his phone and looked it up. "Oh it's only two minutes away from here! We can walk there" he said. "Alright just let me get ready" I said about to walk to my room to change. "You look fine" he said. "No you do... Your wearing a nice comfortable gray sweatshirt with some black jeans and cool Nike sneakers" he blushed a bit. "Your right" he smirked as well. I rolled my eyes and chuckled going to my bedroom to change. I put on a comfy red velvet shirt on along with black jeans and white converses. I just put my hair in a bun because if I let it out it would be a total mess. I walked back in the living room. Joji looked at me. "Wow you look really cute in that outfit" he complimented. I blushed. "Thanks... And do you know how much I cringed at that?" I asked him kind of smiling. "Shut up!" He joked kissing me on the cheek.

We finally made it to the Carnival. The sun was about to go down so it was gonna be even better. The sunset looked so beautiful. There was orange,purple,and pink colors near the sun. I witnessed a Ferris Wheel, a ride called The Zipper, a ride where this big boat went back and forth, a carousel,and some food stands and mini game stands where you can earn fun prizes. "Wow" I heard Joji say. "Yeah this is crazy..." I said. There were so many kids running all over the place that one of the kids bumped into me while were getting our tickets. "So... Which ride or place you wanna go to first?" I asked Joji. "Umm... Maybe The Zipper" he said. I gulped. Fear filling my whole entire body. "Oh... Umm sounds cool" I said. "We don't have to go if your scared. That completely understandable" he turned to me. "No I'm not scared! Let's go" I said. Deep down inside I was scared but I decided to live my life and just do it. "Alrighty then" he said taking my hand. We ran to the line to go on the ride. Luckily it was short. Joji gave the guy the tickets and we hopped in the ride. "You ready?" He said holding my hand. "Yeah just a bit nervous" I squeezed his hand tighter as the guy mention that the ride will start in  one minute. "Same" he squeezed my hand tighter as well. A few seconds later the ride started. I closed my eyes and didn't focus that this is actually happening. I'm in my own world now. "Joji..." I whisper under my breath. "Yeah?" He asked. "Before we die I just wanna say that I love you no matter what and that I would actually take a bullet for you. If you died I would switch my life with you because you have a better life to live and I love you a lot" he chuckled. "I would do the same. But we're not gonna die relax. Open your eyes and you'll see that we're ok" he said. I opened my eyes. I felt the ride shake. "Joji?" I asked him. "Relax" he said. I looked over to him to see his eyes are closed. Next thing you know the ride starts to shake violently having seat belts being unbuckled and the wooden door opening. "Joji hold on to my hand!" I yelled to him. Next thing he fell out of the ride. And so did you but you landed on your feet cause ing your feet to hurt and sprain. "Fucking hell!" You yelled in pain. You fell to the ground while tears came down your face. You crawled to Joji checking his pulse. Nothing.
Nothing.
No life.
He's empty.
I'm empty.
This can't be it! This is not real!
"Joji!" I sobbed putting my head on his chest. I felt someone walk towards me. I looked up and saw a man in a black drenched coat with a hood. I could barely see his face. "Who are you?" I asked him. "You don't need to know that" he said. I chuckled. "Oh yes I do" I felt a weird evil like grin come across my face. I was ready to punch this dude if he doesn't leave me the fuck alone. "Look... You wanna exchange lives with your boyfriend?" He asks. "Wait... YES I WOULD LOVE TO PLEASE!!!" I yelled looking up to the man. "Ok then all you need to do is-" "all I need to do is what?" "Let me finish" he said sternly. "All you need to do is-" he cut himself off. "I gotta go!" He said as I heard my name being called. "Y/n! Y/n wake up" I opened my eyes. "Wait what?" I asked getting off the ride. "You okay your eyes were closed and you were crying. What happened?" Joji asked concerned wrapping his arm around me. "I don't even wanna talk about it... That's how terrible it was" I sighed.
