Sasha stared wide eyed as Ward assembled a sniper. He looked so casual while he was doing it, of course that casual look included that ever so adamant serious look on his face that just screamed 'don't mess with me'.
" You're gonna shoot him?! " She shouted in disbelief, wondering if Ward would just kill an innocent man who was unlucky enough to converse with the wrong people that planted the idea of him being better than he ever was before.
" What other plan do you have, huh? Use your little magic tricks?" Ward asked harshly, screwing on a thin cylinder piece.
"My plan is to not kill him, cause you know, I'm a human being who can feel things and experience guilt," She told him, now wondering if the T-1000 here even knew what emotions were. He always seemed so...robotic, which made her suspicious and wary.
"Don't you ever tell me there's no way!" Her attention was brought over to Coulson shouting at Fitz and Simmons. "It's on you. Get it done," he ordered, then left them to enter the room Ward and Sasha were in, grabbing a remote and started clicking while staring at one of the main screens. "May?"
"He took sky," they all heard through the speakers. The deck of card in Sasha's hands slipped threw her fingers and tumbled to the floor, scattering all over the place. Coulson looked down at her as she fell to her knees and reached to collect all her cards, eyes wide in fear for her closest friend, her sister.
"You alright?" Coulson asked May, his eyes dropped to the ground, peeved.
"We'll deal with that later- at length," May answered in return. "Right now we need to figure out where they went."
Sasha left the room after that, heading towards the lab when she heard the frantic cries of desperation coming from an overly stressed out Fitz, and the non-too-helpful reassuring of Simmons. She immediately changed direction and opted to sit by a window, sinking comfortably in the leather seats.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she though of the worst; Sky kidnapped, gone forever. Sky injured severely and put into a coma... Sky dead. Sasha sucked in a breath harshly, digging the heel of her hands into her eyes to stop herself from crying. She always hated it when she cried, it made her look and feel weak, and she was certainly not weak, not after all the sh**t she'd been through.
"Hey, you okay?" She looked up when she heard Coulson speak to her. She didn't say anything, only resumed watching the clouds drifting in the blue sky as Coulson sat down across from her, rubbing his temple and looking very tired.
"We have to get her back, Coulson," she told him quietly, "she's the closest thing I have to family."
"We will, your friend will be perfectly fine," Coulson tried to reassure the young girl, but was failing terribly.
"She's not my friend... she's my sister. We were in a group home once, and when she left, I went with her. She cared for me when no one else did and kept me warm and safe. If it weren't for her, I would either still be moved from one home to the next, mixed up with really bad sh**t... or dead," she confessed to the older man, shuffling her cards nervously, wanting something to do because she simply couldn't keep still. "I owe her my life."
Coulson stayed quiet, not knowing what to say, yet his silence was the perfect answer. There wasn't a need for words to be spoken, only the appreciation, respect and mutual understanding that was shared between the two very different people, who come from very different parts of the world and reality itself.
"We'll get your sister back," Coulson made a silent promise to her, a promise that told her that she would get Sky back unharmed and very much alive. He didn't know what it was, but something about the way Sasha looked at him, her eyes watery and rimmed with red, it surfaced a feeling that he had not felt before, at least, not in this magnitude. He had always cared, but he had not cared for someone this much in his life- certainly not for a stranger.

"You found her?" Sasha asked with hope, following Coulson as he quickly walked towards one of the SHIELD cars at the back of the plane.
"She hacked through our secure channel, she's telling us where she is," Coulson informed her, causing her to sigh out in relief and chuckle. Of course Sky would do that, it is so her move, Sasha thought.
"I'm coming with you," Sasha told him, jogging a little to catch up with his and Ward's footsteps.
"No, your not," Coulson and Ward both said at the same time, which weirded her out a little.
"You'll only slow us down, we can't get Mike and Sky and babysit you at the same time," Ward told her harshly, walking off before she could retort anything back.
"I don't need a babysitter!" Sasha yelled out, getting no reply in return as both men entered the vehicle, and then disappeared from her view entirely, leaving the plane via vehicle, probably with the use of a strong parachute.
Huffing, Sasha grumbled in anger as she sat down on one of the seats lining the plane walls, keeping an ear on the bickering scientists and the soothing sounds of her cards overlapping each other as she shuffled them. She was 17 for god's sake! She was this close to becoming an adult, so she did not need a babysitter.
At least, most of the time she didn't.
Hey guys, I am so sorry that I took this long to update, I guess I sort felt disconnected or something with this particular story and liked my other ones more. But don't worry! I AM BACK! And now that I've seen all current Marvel movies- unfortunately, I need to catch up on Agent of SHIELD, I'm a couple of seasons behind - I have great ideas for this book, especially something that has to do with crossovers... maybe one with a particular magic group called the Four Horsemen...
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter and to check out the other stories I have published- particularly the ones that aren't Marvel involved, cause I think they have so much potential to be something great. Thank you all for being so patient with this story, you guys are the best. Until next time.
