i heard a knock on the door.

“hey cal, wanna join us? we’re going out for some ice cream.” michael asked, his wet black and white hair flat against his head.

“wow, you’re actually going out?” i rolled my eyes sarcastically.

he shrugged. “if there’s food involved, i’m in.”

i sighed. maybe i should take a break from all of this.

“all right, i’ll just go take a quick shower.” i gave in.

“yeah okay, we’ll be waiting downstairs.” he said and closed the door. i heard him holler “guys, calum’s coming with us!”

i grabbed my towel from the hanger and made my way to the bathroom just down the hall. i thought about the words.

come find me.

how? where? i don’t even know whoever sent this. somehow, the blue-eyed hooded girl seemed like the possible sender. i mean, it was her who gave me the letters. but then, something in my gut tells me it’s someone else.

i step out of the shower and wrapped the towel securely on my hips before rushing back to my room to change into a pair of jeans and a random shirt i picked out since it was first on the pile. i hurriedly put on my shoes and trudged downstairs, where the guys were waiting for me.

“took you long enough.” michael grumbled then placed his phone on his pocket before standing up. “let’s go get some ice cream!” he yelled rather cheerily.

we had found our way to the nearest ice cream parlor, it was a small café named berrylicious which also served frozen yoghurts. we bought our cold delights and walked around the place. los angeles, california is sunny and vibrant, a complete opposite of what i’m feeling now.

a few fans had recognized us, and had asked for some pictures and autographs which we happily gave. these were our fans – our family, and i’d never take them for granted. after all, it is because of them and their support that made us whoever we are now.

we found a bench under a shade of a tree, and coincidentally, a playground was nearby. the other boys immediately went and played on the swing sets and slides. i laughed at them as they attempt to slide down the slide which were obviously not meant for people as big as them. but my laughter soon died out when a girl, a few feet away was staring at us. she was just there – standing oddly still.

a flicker of recognition sparks up in my eyes and i remember those piercing blue eyes and the gray jacket. but now i can see her hair, they were a pale blonde, if not almost silver.

it’s her.

the girl in the hooded jacket.
