In case you haven't figured it out, I'm alternating point of views every chapter!
As darkness sets in, I look around. My camp is extremely sheltered, in the middle of nowhere, with seven foot walls all around. With me, in my camp, I have my friends, Zach, Kieth, Ned, and his wife.
Kieth and Zach share a tent, Ned and his wife share a tent. I have a tent to myself, because I hate physical human contact. As I'm getting ready to build a fire for dinner, my keen ears pick up the sound of a twig cracking and a muffled "shit!"
Keith slowly unzips his tent and looks me in the eye. I shake my head to signal that it wasn't me, and point in the direction the noise came from. Kieth quietly walks over to me, and in a hushed voice, says,
"I'll get Ned, we need to check this out."
I nod in agreement, and he begins unzipping Ned's tent. He sticks his head in for a moment, before Ned gets out of the tent, followed by his wife, the all make their way toward me.
Ned says in a hushed voice to his wife,
"Hey Ariel, can you finish making the fire for us and look after Zach, he's sleeping, we need to go somewhere."
"Ok Ned, I love you" she replies, kissing him on the cheek. I signal for Keith and Ned to follow me as I move aside our door, witch is simply a gate in the fence.
Ned and Keith stay close on my tail, as we go in the direction the noise came from earlier. Once we've gone a good one hundred feet, we decide we might as well give up before Ned points up and whispers,
"You guys, look!" I look up and see a beautiful girl sleeping soundly up in the tree. I whisper to them,
" I'm going up to get her" Ned shakes his head, but doesn't try to stop me.
I begin climbing the tree, and stop when I reach her. I looks like she used a belt to keep herself from falling. I hurriedly undo the belt, before picking up the sleeping girl and putting her over my shoulder. I climb down, being carful not to wake or drop her. Once I'm down, I remove her from my shoulder and carry her bridal style back to camp were Ariel and Zack are eagerly waiting.
I put my finger over my lips, telling them to be quiet. Before laying the girl down.
