Ok sorry, but this chapter will be short (I think)
I have no idea how it happened, but within a second of Eugene saying those deathly words, I was somehow on my feet. It was like everything was in slow motion, as I ran toward what I assumed was the exit. It was a  door made of oak that looked like it came from a fancy mansion. I somehow renched it open, and without looking back, I ran.

As I sprinted through the forest, I heard the cracking of sticks behind me, suggesting the fact that he wasn't far behind me.I continued running even though the sharp twigs on the ground tore painfully into the soles of my feet until the footsteps behind me faded. Only then did I dare to look back. I saw no one. I decided that my best bet was to climb a tree and    stay there until it was safe. Glancing around, I noticed a tall birch-like tree, that would be easy to climb without using my bloody feet. I climbed up ten feet in less than fifteen seconds, and continued climbing until the ground was obscured from view by the tree's leaves. It seemed to be about 10-11 am, according to the sun, which poked through the branches above me.

I heard a twig snap below me.

I froze.

"I know your up there, I'm coming for you..."

My vision got darker.

Am I fainting?

Fuck.
