Battle High: Not your Average High School

Battle One:

Show them how to fight

The sun rose high into the sky as the city streets were already bustling with people who were rushing to catch the bus to work, others were walking down the streets to get to the hover train station on time. While many high school students could be seen running down the streets in a rush to make it before the final bell rang for morning classes. Within the next moment a flash of blinding yellow sped down the streets, dodging around and jumping over obstacles as it ran. The blur of yellow came to a stop when the crossing sign turned red as it came around the corner. The blinding color belonged to a girl who seemed to be in a rush, she stared up at the light and growled something under her breathe.

Although the light was to change in the next few minutes she didn't seem ready to wait. She looked around at the small group of students and adults around her and clenched her fists. Several heartbeats passed before she took a few steps away from the cross walk, when she was about two feet away she turned around abruptly back to the crosswalk. With a deep sigh she took a running start toward her left, she took a quick leap, her feet landing on the side of the building and her right hand giving her balance.

Within those brief seconds time almost felt as though it stopped, everyone around her was watching her now with wide eyes. One moment she was on the wall, and the next she pushed with her legs off the side of the building and while in midair she threw her bag across the street and grabbed onto the pole of the light. Her hands grabbing the top of it with ease and she gave her body two swings before letting go and somersaulting in the air over the traffic. She almost feared she wouldn't make the last flip as she came back to earth, she closed her eyes and felt as her hand felt the pavement of the sidewalk based on its texture before her feet landed. She rolled once and without looking around herself she grabbed her bag and ran.

Whoever this girl was didn't stop running as she ran straight through a group of high school boys, she shoved them out of her way before disappearing around a corner and leaping over a wall. The group of boys all watched her disappear with a cold look before they took off running for their own school. She raced down the streets in a blur and down a path that had led to the forest to her school. She ran to the school hoping to beat her brother, they were racing to the school to find out who could get there first, and she was determined to beat him for once before her brother arrived.

Several moments later a pair of twins came bounding through the path and towards the school, the first twin you saw was known as Ami, she raced for the school ahead of her twin brother. She looked behind to find her brother lagging behind her again.

"Ame!,"she called over her shoulder as she stopped to wait for him. Ami gave a heavy sigh, Ame was as slow as a turtle maybe even slower if that were even possible to begin with, he was always this slow on their way to school every day, at the rate Ame had been walking they would be late, again.

"Ami, save your energy for the school, it's not going anywhere without you," said Ame as he caught up to his sister.

"Oh..Fine..," Ami muttered and rolled her eyes.

They began to walk again and in no time the school was in front of them, Ame and Ami looked at the school building in wonder. They had only been forcefully transferred to the school for a few days and to them it was still so huge and hard to adjust to compared to other schools they had attended. The two had barely even gotten to the gates when a flash of yellow and black came rushing past the twins in a hurry and almost knocked them over.
