Battle eleven

New agents

Kirai followed her slowly. "...What? Where are you going?"

He saw that she was heading outside and sped up to catch up to her, "Sora we can’t leave, those guys are still out there."

The agent pushed a button and the noise designed for only Artemis to hear emitted from the device. They were trying to force the three of them out of hiding so they could weaken them and take them back to the headquarters. But Sora on the other hand wouldn’t be a problem considering she had always been easy to control with her sound, so there was no problem there. Sora would be more than willing to finish up any missions that had gone left undone and return to the government once whatever mission it was had been completed.

"The noise has been activated, sir," he told Cloud.

"Good. Now keep an eye out for anyone," Cloud instructed.

Sora stopped and faced him for a moment, she wasn't herself the sound had control over her. It was how the government kept her in check if she ever set a foot out of place. This trick had never failed them before, and it was not going to fail them today it was full proof, nothing could break the power that the government had on her. Sora was created as a killer; to obey her orders, kill when told, fight when she had to and infiltrate any building under any means.

"If I do not complete my assignment I will be severely punished, "she said to him in a plain hollow voice.

Artemis heard the sound and flinched slightly when it came into his head, but he kept walking, unlike Sora, he had more control on how he could ignore the sound. His sound was created for the same ability as Sora’s, he was a trained killer as well, but he had been trained to be used as a spy, which had worked very well in the past to other governments. It had been easy to knock out their defenses and plans so fast they had been given no choice but to surrender. Even though he had managed to not flinch he still found it hard to ignore, even after all these years.

'No...I-it can’t be this...I-f she hears hers...I'm screwed!'

Kirai stared at her, scared and worried, "Uhh. O-okay? But um, if you do, complete your assignment, you’ll most likely be caught? So, um, don’t?," he stuttered. Kirai involuntarily backed up afraid of what would happen next.

"No reactions yet, sir," the government agent told Cloud with a calm voice.

Cloud gritted his teeth in frustration, "Where the hell are they?!," he angrily asked aloud. He pushed the button on the headset and irritatedly ordered.

"Turn it up!"

Sora gave him a look, then in two seconds flat she had him pinned to the wall with his hands behind his back and her other hand held his head to the wall. She held a tight grip on his wrists with her hand and she leaned towards him to glance at him for a quick moment. She had felt no remorse for the pain he probably felt as he was shoved against the wall roughly and felt rocks jab into his body.

"You, you’re the child I met after I returned, your family was my target...now where are they?," she growled at him.

Artemis made sure to turn the corner unseen as a crowd of people passed by and he got to the entrance of the cave and quickly opened it and closed it once he was inside. He fell to his knees when the signal went up and cried out in pain, his echoes bounced off the walls as he tried to fight it off. Who was controlling their sounds this time? And just why did they resort to making the sounds so impossible to block out? Artemis just had to find a way to get rid of their sounds for good.
