Battle High: Not your ordinary High School
Battle four:
The Battle begins
Sora glared back at him, but the pain from hitting the wall and cuts didn't help calm her right away. Rather than lash back in an attempt with her sword, she dropped it and began to raise her hands. With a huff she grabbed his arms tightly and continued to squeeze his arms.
Kirai couldn't stop himself from flinching, he felt her nails digging deeper with each second. When he felt brave enough to look at his arms he could see the blood that was being drawn. His blood dripped to the ground slowly and down his arms.
"Tch, if you keep this up you might actually hurt me," Kirai said mockingly. But when he gaze returned to her eyes, he found himself lacking the pain of her nails and was punched in his face.
Staggering backwards slightly he held his left cheek and glared at her. He tried to retaliate and hit her back but she was seconds faster and hooked her leg behind his making him fall. She stood over him with a grin.
"I told you. Someone as weak as yourself can't stop me," she laughed.
Kirai sat up on his elbows with an angry look. "I may be weaker than you. But that doesn't mean you can go around killing everyone."
"Oh? Says who? Why should I even bother to stop? If it's the only way to get her to come out then too bad," she snapped to him.
"Then that makes you no better than she is!," Kirai shouted. "You killed those families at the park! Do you really think you're any better than she is right now? You might as well be her partner instead!"
"Don't you ever say that! I'm nothing like her!"
"You're full of crap! And you know it. Look at all that blood on you, and your enjoying this, your being pathetic and losing control just because you want revenge," Kirai snapped at her. He grafted her sword on the ground and wiped off the blood quickly. He held it up to show her what she looked like, "That's what you look like right now."
Sora looked at the blade before finding her own reflection. Watching her reflection she was slowly beginning to see what he meant. There was some blood splattered on her face, some of it dried with the rest still being fresh. Smudges of dirt could be seen on her neck, she touched her face with her left hand.
It was definitely her, but it just couldn't be her-- could it? Those were her red eyes, yet the gaze, something about it was not only familiar, it also wasn't her. Moments passed, it almost felt as though years had gone by before she finally let what he said sink in. He was right.
Dried blood splattered on her face, that hungry look for the lives of others and the sensation of wanting to inflict the same pain onto others. Tears started to well up in her eyes as she dropped to her knees. Her face in her hands as she sat there hunched over in disbelief. Kirai couldn't be any more right, she was no better than Prism. A monster.
"I refuse to be like her," Sora snapped to him. She lifted her face from the palms of her hands and looked at him hard.
He gave her a look of concern and suspicion, she seemed like a wild card, so of course anything could happen with her. But he didn't expect her next move to be quite as surprising as the day has been.
